We only get them in RA28 and a few cases of RA 27? The Protos for the Hitman/Austin 2-pack had the new pads but the MOC had the old ones. Was jakks teasing us with the all out release in RA 28?  |

Well, remember that the MOC Austin vs. Hart pics are subject to change. We see early MOC pics of exclusives for Ringside Fest and Ringside Collectibles all the time. They make minor tweaks to the sets and add the exclusive stickers later.

they are hardly teasing us, they were probably just trying out new ideas, but didn't like them.

or they just have so many of the old ones already made, so they'll start putting new ones once they don't have anymore.

The new elbow pads had pros and cons....They dont fall off like the older ones did however you cant bend a wrestlers arm fully with the new ones either. I myself am happy with the older elbow pads but new knee pads

The problem with the new ones is, you could walk into any KB or TRU near me right now and buy Super Crazy, The Miz or Kenny (Especially Kenny) with them. Why should Jakks put them on upcoming sets when they're clogging shelves still? They've got to give people a reason to buy Kenny and Super Crazy! Most people probably passed on Super Crazy because he didn't have a new scan (Like me), but they might buy him for the new pads (Not me) Some people may have passed on Kenny because he was too plain (The pink DA one was so much better, and Kenny should only be getting more repaints) but they might buy him for the new knee pads. (I did today)
While the new knee and elbow pads stay on a bit better, as $G-Money$ says, they're tougher for play. I think they're both good and bad in ways, but if I had to choose I'd just stick with the old ones. If Jakks saved money by not making any more of the crappy new ones then maybe they could put that money towards a new Super Crazy scan. But if they want to make new knee and elbow pads that don't suck, hey, I'm all for it.

Its probably because they don't have enough made to give to anyone. Once they get enough made they will start using them again.
