Those aren't new arms those are the old ones that they used to use and I don't think they look as good on the new Diva body mold. I really like the Melina figure, but the Candice figure sucks the different colored skintone and lack of detail on her attire are such minor things that there is absolutely no exuse as to why Jakks had to mess that up. I'm so sick of Jakks' false advertising what they show in the proto is what the final figure should look like. I give Candice a 5/10 because it sucks and Melina an 8/10 only because they gave her the old Diva arm molds.

Thanks for the reviews and pics. I really do like that Melina and Candice. I hope that Candice is easier to find than her RA 26 figure. I never found that in stores and ended up buying it from RSC. Still, if I see more than one Candice or Melina in stores I'll probably pick them up to do some SHIMMER customs. Hooray for the new pants mold!

Why does every review end near a 10/10... 9.9/10?
Candice having two different skin tones is a huge mistake and should warrant the loss of lots of points.

Becuase these divas ARE worthy of high marks. Jakks has really stepped up with the females. And you can hardly notice Candice' different skintones. |

Melina looks awesome. I would definitely give her a 9/10. The detail on the outfit is fantastic, and I think the older arms suit her (she is a bit more muscular than some of the Divas like Kelly, Brooke, Layla, etc.).
I dunno...A 9/10 for Candice seems really high to me. With the silver dots missing, the weird eyebrows & the skin tones not matching (even if it is "hardly" noticeable)...it is just way too high.
At best, with that many mistakes she should be receiving a mid-range mark. Especially when compared to the work on recent Divas like RA28 Torrie, AD26 Sharmell and ECW2 Ariel. Those are Diva figures truly deserving of high marks.

The legs really aren't that noticable. Its the same situation as RA 22 Torrie, the skin is painted on so it doesn't look the same in person as it does in pictures (the flash exxagerates the *slight* difference)
Take it from people who have the figs.

I have just been playing with the figs. (Candice and Jeff def. Melina and Nitro, for those who care) And i havent even regarded the difference. It looks fine. Pics always make the figure look unflattering. If you have the figs, you can properly review them, not make snap judgements on photographs. |

Thanks for sharing the pics!
I just picked up RA 29 Melina yesterday before going to the Shimmer Tapings in Chicago. I passed on Candice because of the skin tone mess up. Melina is an awesome figure. I love how they gave her the old Diva arms because the new ones are too long.

Cheers for the pics Jack. They look very cool.
I can live without the detail on Candices outfit, but that, along with the skintones, would have made her a 4/10 for me. I like the figure, but she is not at the level of Melina who I would consider a 9/10.
