I'm just curious what you guys think of that era of figures? To me, it was pretty good even though we always saw a shitload of Rocks, Austins and HHH, but they made good amounts of alternating attires, Real Scan was a cool concept and the Famous Scenes two packs were hot too. What do you guys think?

I thought that they were god. I still look for them on ebay every now and then so I can put RA arms on them and continue to use them in my figure fed.

It was a great era for its time. They had many good series (lines) going on at the time.

That was a pretty good period for TTL. TTL was total garbage when it first started out. The pre-Real Scan heads weren't even as good as the BCA ones. I did really like TTL3 (Jericho's debut WWF figure) but I can't think of too many figures before DoubleSlam 4 and TTL4 that were above average.
It was definitely a good time to be collecting.

I had stopped collecting for quite a while but they(along with R3 series 1)are what got me back into collecting. Luckily I missed out on the pre-real scan horridness so for the time the figures were very good and didn't give me much to complain about.

Pre-real scan TTLs were just awful. I hated them, especially since I'd built up a pretty big BCA collection. It wasn't until House of Pain came out that I started collecting TTLs.
Wait, you're talking about the real scan figures...nevermind!

I loved the figs back then. Rebellion! Rulers of the Ring! Ringside Chaos! Famous Scenes! Oh the sets. The evolution of figs has been great. i remember when figs having Elbows was such a big deal. Finishing Moves (1st series 3-D packaging ruled), Unlimited Fury, R-3's... and then there was RA. my 1st RA was Brock Lesnar. - -- Then Classics. all my dreams realized. wow. a trip down memory lane... if i knew then what i know now - i probobly would've just not started collecting. I quit smoking. Collecting is much harder to quit!

Unchained Fury 1 was a hot line with alot of new faces: Tajiri, RVD, Hurricane, Booker, etc.
I still use my TTL DS 5 APA Farooq as the DAMN Farooq of today!
