The truth:
1.) The DA line has been doing pretty well. And CS was doing well for a while. Jakks sees that and figured they could go back to the beginning with the CS line and do them in DA form for DA collectors and for those who missed out in the beginning of the CS line.
2.) Jakks knows so many CS collectors have to have every damn CS fig(variant, error, etc.), so they figured those collectors would also get in on the CSDA line.
3.) Jakks knows the CS line in RA form isn't going to last forever. With the CSDA line they are pretty much rebooting the CS line. That's why they started off so strong with it. We didn't get any Austin or Rock figs until a few waves into it, not to mention Hogan or Piper.
It's all about money.
Me personally, I am considering cutting back on my CS collecting. Face it folks, RA's aren't going to last forever. I love the style, but they are going to go the way of TTL figs in a few years. I think the strongest line Jakks has is the CS line in RA form. Once that ends, I could totally see the phasing out of RA figs. They will replace the Backlash TTL figs at KB with RA figs.

I wish they would pick just one Classic line and make that line absolutely AWESOME!!! We dont need a bunch of different Classic lines.

. Just think of all the other wrestlers they could have instead of these "double made" ones in the Deluxe line. By gawd you're right! We could've had such great figs as Ultimate Warrior in his #285th attire and Hulk Hogans #724 figure. DAMN, I would've wanted those!

As far as i'm conecened, the CS line has been FUBAR since 10.... More power to the CSDA's, where they're still fun to look forward to.... Only 5 in a set, and 2 sets a year.... The way it should be IMO.. This 10-14 wrestlers in a series is a f'n joke.... exactly that is why i stopped my CS collection and sold it all

Although I have purchased all of them, sometimes two at a time for the scans (ie Bulldog, Hall, Hennig) I would much prefer that they placed their effort in the regular classic line. The CS collection is so big already it would not be affordable to have to rebuy each character again just because they have more flexible legs and a torso joint.

maybe they make deluxe classics for people like me, who like deluxe aggression better than ruthless aggression

For all of us who would rather have DA figures. Sure there's a wide variety of CS in the RA format, but I'd rather have good DA figures. They're just more fun.

I like the bigger size somewhat too and the parts are jus more realistic to me. Plus I am 21 I am way too old to be buying toys forever while I still like my collection sooooo 2 sets a year or so are plenty for me, someone who has other expenses but still enjoys his figures.

CSDA line is awesome i would say the best line Jakks, and how faster do you want the CS to come out? CSDA comes out like twice a year how could you complain about that?

But the CSDA line is the premium top of the line product that truly displays a full effort product that is for the collectors. Its a great alternative line for various reasons whether it be playbility or be new scans. It is like saying take DA away and only have RA.

Thats the point! Why not just make one line EXCELLENT and not have to make a separate line?

Sting,
I agree with you 100%. The only thing the CSDA figs are good for is to correct the height problems some CS figs have (ie Kevin Nash)

Jakks does have way too many lines out right now but CSDA isn't one I'd get rid of as it's been very successful so far.

Thats the point! Why not just make one line EXCELLENT and not have to make a separate line? Exactly, for most people on this board, I'm guessing CS would be the prime choice for Jakks to put more effort into. IMO, RA should be runner-up. They really need to put more work into the RA line, because IMO, out of all the lines, RA's are the most underrated. For Jakks, CSDA and DA are their bread and butter, and soon to be, Maximum Aggression.

I just wish they would focus in on one Classic line, instead of having two. There is nothing to suggest that having the Deluxe Classics is in any way taking away from the regular classics line. In my opinion, Classics have been lacking even before the introduction of the Deluxe Classics. Also, I personally have never been a big fan of the regular Classics line as there are way too many fillers in the later series. The deluxe classics is a smaller line with more popular superstars and they usually sell more than the reguler classics. Until someone from Jakks comes out and confirms that resources have to be taken from the development of the Classics line for the Deluxe Classics line, this just seems more like the same old "RA is better than DA" argument. Just my opnion.

Comparing them (CS and CSDA) is not the concern. It is why have them both when they are pretty much the same and are including the same wrestlers.
