Flair flop is actually Johnny Valentines move, and I think the Hammer does it better than Flair, and in a way more appropriate manner.
Flair forces it into every single match at least once (and often multiple times), makes it too comical for my taste.
Valentine only used it when he was beaten so badly he could no longer stand on his feet.

You do realize the way you described its origin leaves you WIDE open to be informed about the term "punch drunk"?
