Guys like Finlay and Regal are getting alot of credit here but I would not put them right at the top. These guys are GREAT technicians and tell excellent stories, but they generally neglect to take any big bumps. Guys like Angle, Benoit, and Eddie, were great technical wrestlers with the added edge of being able to take to the air and bumo like crazy, thus creating some of the greatest matches in WWE history. Right at this particular point I don't put ANYBODY in WWE on their level. Two guys are racing to the spot though, and those guys are CM Punk and MVP.

I think people confuse technical ability with actual mat skills. Regal and Finlay have great thecnical ability and mat skills but not everything they do looks picture perfect and that to me is what defines technical ability. Bret Hart, Flair in the 80's, Ricky Steamboat, Curt Hennig all had that quality. Punk is good but his offense seems lazy to me. I will go with Shelton. Whn he has the proper showcase hes untouchable in skill and presentation. Carlito has flourishes of greatness also

I'd probably agree with anybody who said Regal.

No doubt it would have been a classic, you can believe what you want of Benoit. But you'd be lying if you said you didn't at one time respect what he did.
