Eugene, whose gimmick went stale after 34 seconds, is still here, years after he debuted.
Where has the gimmick gotten him?
No where.
When will WWE actually pull the trigger and make the real Nick Dinsmore debut/re-debut?

It was the overexposure he got in 2004. If they wouldn't have pushed him so hard, so fast, so early maybe he would've gotten somewhere, who knows?
I'm definitely wanting to see the Eugene character over and done with at this point though.
I'm ready for Nick Dinsmore as well.

I'm really not bothered with Eugene because hes pretty much on Heat Now. Although i would like to see his gimmick re-invented and have Nick Dinsmore in there.

I could see him getting released soon or "fired" in the storylines and then later released, just like Rob Conway. He's just taking up a spot on the main roster than can be used more effectively I think.

He's fine as a jobber, who knows maybe someday he will be repackaged as "normal" and actually win some gold, hey it happened to Blackjack Bradshaw aka JBL, so it can happen to anybody. As long as he doesn't get released first.

They should just do one of 2 things:
1) Have somebody turn heel by bashing his skull in with a chair, thus " correcting" him.
2) Have him get a title match( US), and have MVP underestimate him. Eugene then cheats to win, revealing that he was never slow after all, but used the gimmick to get gold.

What they should have done from the beginning is turned him into an idiot savant. A total, handicapped fool outside of the ring, and a pure technician inside.
Seriously, they need to just end it and turn him into Nick Dinsmore, a bad ass heel. I don't even care how they end it as long as they do.

Despite the lack of progress for his gimmick since its peak in the summer of 2004, I can always look back on this video as one of my favorite moments on RAW in a long time.
Regal is flat out amazing in this, and it gets even better around the 2 minute mark.

Shame cause Nick is a great wrestler.
I always like an idea mentioned on here about a year ago.
-Eugene gets into a feud with some badass heel who in a brutal angle freaking destroys Eugene, possibly a broken neck or something.
-Next few weeks regular reports on TV about his recovery.
-A n announcer goes to Eugene's hospital where tearful Eugene announces due to injury his career is officially over, however announces he'll have his revenge and has a big surprise in store for the heel!
-Following week on TV the heel gets jumped from behind by Nick.
However this Nick is cleanly shaven & has short hair, yes he looks like Eugene but as he's Eugene's brother that makes sense. Storyline is he's here for revenge for the brutality inflicted upon his brother.

Eugene is so dirty. he's supposed to have atleast some money right. But he cant afford to buy new boots and a jacket. He still has on that jacket from when Vince threw paint on him. That happened almost a year ago.

It did not get stale in 34 seconds. Can't you remember how over he was in 2004? I remember that RAW when he came back after an Evolution beat down, everyone went nuts.

He was mad over in 2004, but I think that's what the made the character stale even quicker.
