Are steroids ruining the WWE? That's kind of a hard question to answer, really. I mean, I'm sure that there are some people that are on them, and have never really had an issue. I think it has more to do with the person's overall mental state than the steroids.

"Steroids" are not ruining the WWE, and the notion that they are is absurd. "Steroids" are EVERYWHERE right now, and I do feel that every major sport (including wrestling) would be better off without them. But they are CERTAINLY not "ruining" the WWE.
Many of you who will comment in this thread will have no idea what you are talking about. I spent almost 4 years in the business before the drugs and horrible human beings forced me to retire. I don't care what a bunch of 12 year olds who don't even know what steroids are say, more than 90% of the roster uses steroids. Different guys use them differently. I believe that Umaga cycles bulking agents like Dianabol and Deca-Durabolin to stay so huge, while guys like Orton cycle deca and winstrol (a cutting agent) to get his awesome physique. Guys in the WWE who don't use steroids AT ALL may be limited to CM Punk and Mike Mizanin. I believe that guys like Edge and Randy Orton have quit using but I would not be surprised to see Orton back on them.
There's alot more to it, steroids are not a vial of liquid that say "STEROIDS" on the side, it's very complicated and I dont think that most of you have any idea what you are talking about.

Steroids are ruining wrestlers' lives more than they are the WWE itself. But the WWE's entire drug testing policy has always been and will always continue to be an absolute joke. The Benoit tragedy isn't going to change anything. Until the WWE bans ALL steroids, and not just unprescribed steroids, it will always be an issue.
The WWE instituted the new policy to try and get the media off its back after Eddie Guerrero's death. The original plan was actually pretty decent, but then guys started failing tests left and right and the WWE realized they wouldn't be able to ever have consistant storylines if their top stars kept coming/ leaving because of steroid suspensions. Originally, you were supposed to be suspended something like 30 - 60 days for a failed test, and once Orton failed a test that put his big SummerSlam match vs. Hogan in jeopardy, the WWE started rewriting everything.

No. Wrestling is not sports. There never was an element of competition there. Personally, I couldn't care less if they use steroids or not as long as they can perform in the ring.

Yes, I believe as of late they are. And this whole Benoit situation is certainly not helping matters to say the least.

Yes, of course they are. But more importantly, they are ruining lives.

The WWE always goes on after losing a superstar, but their life doesn't.

Why is the WWE and Vince McMahon being hated or accused of not overseeing, not stopping the use of, or recommending steriods to its wrestlers or whatever. First of all lets get one thing perfectly clear here. EVERY SINGLE SPORT that actually has athletes(sorry nascar, bowling and hot dog eaters) uses steroids or some kind of body enhancer. Every sport has people looking for any and every edge they can get to look better, move faster and stronger. How many athletes does WWE employ? 100 maybe? And how many does the NFL employ? Where is the outrage to the NFL? To Major League Baseball(outside of Barry Bonds), to the NBA? No one cares about the NFL guys who seem to be roid raging out of control killing, robbing, raping and murdering almost every night when I watch the news. Did anyone consider closing down the NFL when Ray Lewis killed those people or Rae Carruth(sp?) killed his wife and her unborn child. Living in the bay area I hear about Barry Bonds and how unfair it is that he uses Steroids. Well he is no different then WWE. If you really are offended by it why do you continue to pay to see it and support it? Does no one realize that if you stop supporting something you object to it goes away? Thats how things work. The notion that 5-6 deaths from WWE are all roid related let alone some how directly Vince or WWE's fault is absolutely a CRAZY notion. No more than Ken Camminiti's death is Bud Seligs direct fault and no more than Rae Carruths wife is directly the NFL's fault. How about some self accountability people. No one makes people take or use steroids and lets face it if your boss asked you to do something that was no only illegal but obviously life threatening and you didnt want to do it is there anything he could say or do to make you change your mind? Like the thought of legal action wouldnt cross his mind before he "forced you" to take them? Do WWE stars take steroids? I havent been there to watch them shoot up, but I do know that it is pretty much impossible to look that way without using something. My argument is however, that the stars decide to take them in hopes of getting a higher spot. That is where the incentive is. Are Steroids ruining WWE? I say not anymore than they are ruining, the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, the olympics, and any other form of activity where athletes are involved.
