If they have a doctor's prescription, then I don't see a problem, then it's legal.
He may have passed. You can cycle them, and they caught him at his off period.

They don't need to hold WWE responsible. Because, he passed a drug test back in April. Benoit did that on his own not WWE. When that cop killed his wife & unborn kid did they blame the police force he worked for? No, each man is responsabile for his/her own actions.

someone may have pointed this out...
but its not just bad news for the wwe... its bad for PRO WRSTLING, anytime someone dies... media will look at steroids.
Its like over here (UK football) or soccer if you will, if there is an enquiry in to alligations of match fixing or players signing for a club when they shouldnt... 1 club is not soley investigated.. ALOT are. When the press get a hold of this... they will never let it go... look how long it took them to get over the HOGAN steroid case in the early 90's. The media is alot mor cut throat these days, if there is something which raises 1 persons eyebrow, they wont stop until EVEYONES eyebrows are on edge.
Wrestling is at a very, very strange point...

Just a quick point of interest...........
The early SILVER VISION UK dvds eg- Wrestlemania 1-VIII, Surviver Series, Summer Slam and Royal Rumble all come unedited with WWF logos and original entrance themes. The quality is still quite good. It's more authentic than some of the edits being mentioned above......

Either Benoit took an aweful lot of steroids or he was also supplying it to other wrestlers.

You know what no matter how this turns out...with either Benoit killing his family was a planned cold blooded act (Which personally I still don't think it was) or the results of being delusional from head trauma and various medications the WWE still has to take some of the blame. And here's why -
The WWE (Vince & lawyers) state they feel this was a planned act by a monster and not the results of "roid rage" (And I doubt it was "roid rage" as well) Meanwhile everyone who has ever known Chris says he would be the last person they'd ever think could commit such an act. So if it was planned like Vince says...then evidently he (Vince) and his backstage medical staff saw something in Beniot's personality change that others didn't. And yet Vince didn't act on it on it, but rather kept sending him out there. Which I really hope isn't the case.
Now if it was he turned delusional from head trauma and or the medication he was given Friday...Then why didn't his doctor know about it when he prescribed him the medication? Did they check Chris for a concussion after his match with Burke on Tuesday? I'm not 100% sure, but when I watching that match I really thought Benoits head nailed Burke's knees when he came off the top rope for his flying headbutt. And they should have check it, because if he did have a concussion he wouldn't be thinking clearly. So did he injure his head in that match and if so did they check him after the match? If no then why not?
Either way I feel the WWE should shoulder some of the blame as they turned a blind eye to it. And now three people who could have been saved are dead, because nobody acted.
As for the whole roids issue that's not going to change unless the government gets involved, because Vince likes larger than life wrestlers. He always had and always will. Hell, I'd bet Vince is or was taking them himself.

I have truly felt that there should be some kind of commission to police these companies. I'm absolutely sick of the obvious steroid abuse. When you look at old footage of (for example) Eddie or Rey or Benoit and how little they looked before entering WWE, it's obvious they have been using steroids to build that muscle.

I've been saying that for years. Rey, Eddie and Benoit looked much more healthier in their WCW days then they did in the WWE. They looked too bulky for their body sizes

I will say Edge looks like he's been getting smaller in the last month or so. Yeah and if you saw Raw last night, you would've noticed that Val Venis has lost a considerable amount of muscle. He's ALOT smaller than what he used to be, for sure. So, if he was taking 'roids, which I'm sure he was by looking at him now, then he's clearly off of them or not taking nearly as much as he used to.

I actually started to doze off after Lashley came to the ring in the first segment. And then woke up to the the end of Orton's match. Fell asleep again until Triple H returns video and sort of dozed off again until Cena got speared, I have truly felt that there should be some kind of commission to police these companies. Everyone is busy defending the WWE but this is a time when they aren't being made a scapecoat but are actually part of the problem.
We'll never know if the WWE makes the athletes take 'roids. It is still up to each person to make that choice. In that regard, Benoit is on his own. However, if the toxiciology comes back positive, then the WWE's "wellness program" looks like bullcrap. Couple that with all the drugs he was prescribed (btw, just because you have a prescription doesnt mean is all legal now. The doctor has to prove a reason why you would need such an outrageous amount....something I doubt he'll be able to do) and the WWE does look very bad.
Konnan was on Nancy Grace last night and said the testing is random and that they don't use the popular guys in those tests. It's all those smaller guys they make an example of to keep a good public image. Now, I don't know if that's true but it makes sense. I don't recall if the WWE supplied Benoit's drug test to the police yet, but I expect they'll have to soon.
Until the toxicology report comes out, I won't directly blame the WWE, but this does hurt their public image. You can't just fake it on those tests. Even if Benoit was trying to cheat by not using before tests, well, that doesn't make them very random (or effective) does it?

I think its a little of both, the media is certainly taking shots at WWE where and when it can. But WWE does deserve some of it. The road schedule is brutal and needs be lessened.
Steroids are rampant and its pretty easy to tell, when you have people traveling and performing as many days a year the WWE does there is no way any of those guys can be so big.
I think TNA is being smart by staying out of the spotlight, because if they try opening their mouths they will be in the same boat as WWE. Its not like they don't employ their fair share of roid monkeys (I'm surprised Angle doesn't have his own brand of steroids). They will probably be dragged into the "steroid scandal" regardless.
Remember though, if Vince cant have great big muscular monsters, his second option is usually great big fat monsters. Bastion Booger '08!

(I'm surprised Angle doesn't have his own brand of steroids). haha that made my day. I agree with most people, even though it isn't all the WWE's fault, they should really get their share.
