I seriously doubt if Eddie Guerrero was still alive, that Benoit wouldn't have done that. I think he still would have did it, unfortunately. I don't see why it would impact his decision/roid rage/whatever (I don't know the full reason.). It had nothing to do with Guerrero.

Depression could have been a very big factor of why Benoit did what he did. Losing Eddie may have caused depression.

I agree with you guys about the Benoit issue. Eddie was a close friend to him that surely affected his emotions. Who knows, though.
****, if Bret didn't go to WCW and stayed with WWF, Owen probably wouldn't have turned into the Blue Blazer, Bulldog wouldn't have left to WCW and fell in that trap door (which I believe started his addiction to painkillers), and they probably would still be alive today. And on top of that, unless something else would have happened, Bret wouldn't have had to retire thanks to that mule kick from Goldy. One decision can change everything.
I'm hoping Eddie would have continued to make it as a big name. I'm very glad he got to win the big one before his passing.

That's always been the biggest "What if?" to me. Things would be so much different.

Their was a big rumour he would be facing Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 22. One of the only dream matches I ever wanted to see was this, and I was really excited as at Survivor Series, they would of squared off atleast once
