ECW. It had to be the best move he ever made in his career.

If he could do it all over again, I would rather he do it exactly the same and stay in ECW, where TALENT was respected and rewarded, unlike the WWE where you can get over with a steroid loaded body, crude catch phrases and a colorful costume.

In fairness, the WWE cared A LOT less about muscleheads in 1997 than they do now. I mean look at the champs from the late nineties...HBK, Rock, Austin, Undertaker really weren't muscleheads and had good reason to hold the strap.

He made the right move going to ECW, it helped to elevate his career. However, ECW did not always have talent. For instance, Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten, New Jack, Spike Dudley, The Sandman (even though I like him), and a few others couldn't wrestle worth a lick.
