**Note: For now, the TNA part is cut out, it is long enough as it is.****
I posted a day or two ago that I would be posting an article i write monthly, so if anyone actually bothers to read the entire thing, cna you please give me some feedback, on opinions and the actual writing? Thank you
First, I will start off with a brief mentioning of the current injuries in the WWE. While Undertaker is still injured for quite a long time, which is incredibly unfortunate, there is a bright side. Ken Kennedy is almost ready to compete regularly, as can be told by the last few editions of RAW. His injury is almost completely healed, and this is good strategy by WWE. Even with only a little in ring action, it gets the ring rust off. Ken Kennedy has incredible potential, and originally, I thought the move to RAW would be a bad thing, but I am now realizing it is for the best. Although true he could become a top guy on Smackdown, and the feud with Edge seemed set in stone, he has basically feuded with everyone on the brand. Undertaker, Batista, Kane, and he had the program where he was teaming up with MVP last year, so the only things on Smackdown for him would have been edge, Mysterio, who should be returning soon, and Ric Flair. And considering the fact that RAW gets a lot more viewers, being on RAW not only gives Ken Kennedy more exposure, but like I stressed, new competition. If the bookers desire, he can re-ignite the feud he had with Lashley, although it wasn't that good. But on RAW he has Triple H, John Cena, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Umaga, Carlito, King Booker, and possibly Shawn Michaels when he returns. The move opens up a lot more for Kennedy, and I can see an Intercontinental Championship feud with Umaga in a couple months.
Away from Kennedy, and onto the World Title pictures. I'm not a fan of the RAW WWE Title feud, not because I'm a complete Lashley or Cena hater, but because I really don't think they will have chemistry together. I would have given Lashley at least one more major feud before pushing him to this match, give him some more accomplishments, make it seem more even. Next ween on RAW, I'm hoping John Cena can pull off some of his good mic work, because this feud needs a good promo or two, and Lashley certainly will not deliver that. If there was ever a superstar who needed a manager, it is Bobby Lashley. And I dislike the fact that this main event is face vs face. One of them should turn heel ,and although I'd prefer Cena to, as it would add some freshness to his character, a heel Lashley could at least be interesting. And going back to my idea of giving him a manager, what better way to get him over as a heel than to give him a manager such as Eric Bischoff? Bischoff is generally hated by a majority of fans, so that part is covered, plus, Bischoff can cut a great promo if needed. Play it off as Bischoff deciding that Lashley is the future, and they can even play it off from when Bischoff was GM, and tried to find someone to take out Cena. Jericho didn't get the job done, neither did Angle. But Lashley may be the guy that can do it. Just my opinion on what should be done, but if WWE continues how they have been, this is going to be one boring feud, and for the flagship show of the company, that is unacceptable.
The World Championship picture is a little better, but not as much. The Edge/Batista feud was kind of boring and bland, but at least they knew when to end it, and the fact that Edge got three pay per view decisions over Batista gives him some credibility. It almost seems like when Batista went over HHH 3 times in a row, it looks like Batista is returning the favor to someone else. Kane is the next challenger for the title, which I am really happy about, but it is bad timing. I want Kane to get a good title run, I really do, but they have a good thing going with edge right now, and they would be stupid to give that up. This seems like a filler feud until Mysterio gets back, but that is something to look forward to. Rey Mysterio is one of the biggest faces in the company. Nobody seems to get the cheers that he does. And Edge is oen of the biggest heels. This is a money feud, so here is hoping they do not screw it up. They have two of their biggest draws who are both extremely good in-ring performers. Add to the fact that they have Matt Hardy, who if they develop well in a feud of his own during these next few months, can be a ready main eventer by the end of the year. So think about that one. If Edge goes over Mysterio in the feud, and Matt Hardy is ready for the main event, it will be phenomenal. The Hardy/Edge feud in 2005 was probably the best of the year. Great promos, great buildup, and great matches. A World Title feud between the two of them would be great. They can build off what they had before, and lay even more ground. Adding these two feuds this year would give Smackdown the best world title image for the year out of all the brands. Think about that one. Which would you look more fondly of? A year that saw Cena/HBK, Cena/Khali, Cena/Lashley, or a year that had Batista.Taker, Batista/Edge, Kane/Edge, Mysterio/Edge, and Hardy/Edge?
Some quick words on all the other titles. RAW's main weakness right now is that everything is being focused on Cena and Lashley in the shows. They are not giving enough time to the IC division. That is the bad tihng about this years draft RAW gained a lot of main event talent, but lost most of the mid-card talent they had. The IC division is beyond saving right now. London, Haas, Kendrick, and Benjamin could all add to it and make some amazing matches, but then the tag division would be dead. RAW needs to put some focus on that now. Cade and Murdoch, like them or hate them, have been great these last few months. Good performances, and I find nothing to hate about them. Right now RAW has the WGTT, Cade & Murdoch, Highlanders, Cryme Tyme, and Hooliganz. Why not give the WGTT the belts, and have them feid with London and Kendrick? But yeah, as I said, all the IC division has at the moment is Marella, Umaga, Kennedy, and Jeff Hardy. Bring William Regal into the picture or something.
United States Title is decent in my books. MVP id putting on great performances on a weekly basis, it is a shame the crowd isn't getting into him. But the feud he had with Benoit was solid, and made him a legitimate guy. Now, you have Kenny, Flair, Masters, and a few others that haven't gotten a chance recently at anything. Have Masters and Dykstra go after the belt, and like MVP, they are young up and comers. Build the US division around the future stars, and it will be successful.
