Why is it ok for the WWE to pay respect to Eddie when he died from a heart failure that was due to drinking and the drug abuse. How come they pay respect to his career and not Benoits? To me Drinking and Drug Abuse is should be consider embarrassing to a company. It's mind boggling they honored Eddies career even though he abused drugs. Eddie also got into the hall of fame. If wwe can pay respect to those who made mistakes that ended their life I think Benoit should get the same treatment. And don't say they had a raw dedicated to him. It was disgusting for them to say they will not be airing anymore news about Benoit because it will "hurt" their company.

A sin in my book is the same.

But he was clean. He stopped using drugs and alcohol. He died of the long term a/effects of them. I respect Eddie, because he tried to change. He tried to make himself better. Chris just killed his family instead of trying to change.

You already said that..and WE GET IT. Eddie did NOT kill himself... he as someone said learned from his mistakes. He stopped drinking and doing drugs to get his life straight. Benoit just killed himself and his family.

You can pretty much doing anything as long as you don't kill anyone your career will be honored.

I understand that you are trying to either smear Eddie's name or defend Chris. Either way, it is horrible.

I feel Benoit should get the honor and respect he deserves. The reporters also said they found a Bible next to his body. So that means might mean he believes in God. In the Bible it says a sin is a sin. No sin is greater than another. So I am guessing he asked for forgiveness before he killed his family.

Once you kill your family, you don't deserve honor or respect.

Guerrero eradicated his demons and even came back to WWE for an incredible run from 2002-2005.
Benoit, meanwhile, killed his family and himself.
Notice a difference?

Why not respect Beniot the wrestler, not the man?
Before he died, you all loved him...What if Eddie killed Vickie and his kids, would you all feel the same way?Doubt it...just a way to bitch imo.

Name someone in the HOF who died of an OD or true suicide. I can't name any. Two that I know of died from previous drug abuse, Eddie & Henning. Both of them had been clean for a while, but due to long term usage, they died years after they quit. They were both repentant, they both changed, and they did something with their lives. The fact that they turned their back on that lifestyle & made a change, makes them role models.

They made a change, and what happened? They died. If someone died years after quiting drugs they must've been doing a lot. Abusing way more than a regular person can take.

Wait, so it's ok to place a bible next to a body you just murdered and not for a man (Eddie) to seek forgiveness for his past transgressions? Your religious views can't be cherrypicked to defend one person while damning another. If you consider yourself a holy man, then obviously you shouldn't judge those that do harm to their own body. Benoit, conversely, committed muder, which is one of your 10 rules by the way; is thou shalt not do drugs a commandment? NO!
