I think it depends on when or how you meet a wrestler. I've heard stories about wrestlers being jerks to some people but were very nice to me when I meet them.

The only wrestler I've met is Konnan, outside of a WCW house show in 1998-ish. I was no older than 12 or 13 at the time, and he was pretty much circled by fans, so he just signed whatever was put in front of him and didn't say anything. In a situation like that, I totally understand. He pulled up to the arena and was practically surrounded within seconds of coming out of his car. I got to see either Psicosis or La Parka without a mask as they were entering the arena. I didn't surf the internet outside of a few mainstream sites back then, so it was very neat to see a guy who always wore a mask without his gear on.

I met Prince Albert/A-Train backstage at a Raw a few years ago. I was like 12, and saw him walking toward/past me. I went "Oh my God, hi! Can I have your autograph?" He looked at me, rolled his eyes and kept walking.

I've met Triple H 2X and he was so nice and I wasn't sure what to expect. The first time I met him was at the DCU Center back in 2003 when tix were on sale for Judgment Day. The only downside were the people running the signing they were the biggest jerks because they wouldn't allow anyone to take pictures while we were standing in line and you were only allowed one picture that was taken with your own camera. The second time was in 2005 after a house show he did a book signing and that was a lot more relaxed and we were being shuttled in like cattle. You were given the opportunity to say hello and have a bit of a conversation without being rushed out and they allowed us to take pictures while we were in line.

Edge was really nice, plus i met him at a club later that night called the Limelight, I was out with my freinds for a smoke and him that Black guy thats always at events were going in, the bouncer said there was no room, edge ignored him and just went in, was weird seeing him there. Total twat! Never meet your heros, put me off shawn michaels for good, hes actually so up his arse its unreal. I booed him getting on the bus! Shelton was very ... repsectful? He didnt talk much but he signed evrybodys stuff, i think hes just super shy. Coach wouldnt sign my face, he says he refused to sign body parts HHH signed on guys thing, i basically followed him onto the bus, was so close to getting in until i got wapped out by a bouncer Lashley was nice enough, he moved some big bins for us so he could sign autographs, i still dont like him as a wrestler tho Met the big showin london and he was very cheery, but by far the nicest ever was Rico, signed for hours, and took ap picture with me pouting, was beautiful! Ha Yeah so the only bad was Shawn Michaels really, theres been wrestlers that have ignored but doesnt really bother me

I'm sure there a ton of confusions in this thread about keeping character. I haven't met any WWE wrestlers besides Gangrel and Doink at a local show who were probably working for weed. I've met tons of the PWG wrestlers and all of them have been either total class acts, or understanding enough to realize they should at least thank the fans for getting them where they are today.

I met Kennedy at WM23(at the video game tournament) and he was such a dick. He wouldn't even look in our direction. there was a long line and i had a broken ankle, but I stood in line like everyone else. when we got close to the front,he still ignored us. since he wasn't paying attention,I ask his girlfriend for an autograph. As soon as she was about to sign my ticket,he got up and left with her. everyone else at the table followed suit(punk,dykstra,etc...) It was ok though,as I got Jeff Hardy and Ashley's autograph instead. Why the hell would you ask Kennedy's Girlfriend for an autograph? You had to be there... She was super hot and just sitting in the corner by herself behind kennedy. She seemed pretty bored. It was more like me flirting with her. I told a few jokes, got her to laugh and just as she was gonna come over to us,kennedy cut her off and said lets go.

Bad experiences:
-- Rhino. Met him during an ECW show about 8 years ago. He acted annoyed that he even had to acknowledge fans that paid money to see his ass wrestle. (I have heard many stories of Rhino being a cool guy, so maybe it was a bad day or something.)
-- Danny Doring, also at an ECW show, in like 1999. Literally half the ECW roster was outside the arena socializing and signing autographs with fans after a show (ECW was normally very cool with fan-friendliness) including big names like Sandman, New Jack, Dreamer, Sunny, Joey Styles, etc. Doring blows right past everyone wiith sunglasses on (it was about 11 p.m.), says "No autographs," and pushes past everyone. He was a low-midcarder at the time, which made his arrogance even less warranted.
-- Scott Hall. Absolutely the rudest wrestler I've ever met. I've read complaints in this thread about wrestlers not looking at you or speaking... Hall would look directly at you and tell you to f--- off, an then look at Kevin Nash (who was there with him) and tell Nash not to acknowledge you, either. The icing on the cake was Nash (who was the total opposite and really cool, perhaps trying to make up for Hall being a pen!s) talking to everyone and posing for pics, and Scott Hall interrupting the scene, telling him "Come on, Kev, you don't have to talk to these guys."
Great experience:
-- The Iron Sheik. Met him last year and he was the kindest person to my family and I. He posed for several photos with my young son and seemed really happy to hear we were Sheik fans.
Funny Sheik story #1: Just for kicks, while I was picking out an 8x10 for Sheik to sign, I told my wife to ask Sheik about Bob Backlund (knowing it would set him off on a rant). I watched in amazement as Sheik's cut a promo on my wife -- at the top of his lungs -- about putting Bob Backlund in the camel clutch in Madison Square Garden and how Hulk Hogan was a bleached-blonde jabroni.
Funny Sheik story #2: He was so worried about thinking of something catchy for my autograph (He ended up mentioning my family in the autograph, too), that he forgot to sign his name. After he covered half the 8x10 with writing, I had to remind him that he never actually autographed it with his name. I thought he might get angry, but he apologized.

For the record, you could tell Kennedy wasn't in character. He was having a good conversation with Batista, when Batista was a face and Kennedy was a heel, so yeah, he wasn't in character.

Let's see:
WrestleMania X8 in Toronto.
I ended up taking a picture with Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, they were nice guys.. but there really wasn't much to say.
Then my brother and I got in a long line for what appeared to be the feature Axxess autograph signings. But as soon as people got closer and closer to the signing table, they saw Spike Dudley, and tried to literally get out of line a.s.a.p. And that's when it happened--
HULK HOGAN comes out to a pop, sits down at the table and suddenly everyone who left, made an attempt to get back in. It was awesome, and Hogan was real cool as well, I was in an nWo hat, leather jacket, and nWo shirt, so Hogan was giving me the lowdown about how wearing all those clothes gave me an "edge" over everyone else. And being the mark I was, I told him to take out the Rock, and he responded with "Will do, brother."
Amazing guy, big in person, too.
My second experience was a mall signing in Buffalo with Kevin Nash, Bill Goldberg, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels. Goldberg oddly enough was the coolest of them all, having conversations with the fans, taking pictures. Nash was alright, he was just unwinding with a coffee. But I swear Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels did not want to be there, they spent most of the time talking to each other.
Being like, fifteen at the time, I poured my heart out to Ric, "You're the best, a legend, I'm a huge fan.." He didn't even look up, he just waved me off.
I should've been hurt, since my favorite wrestler blew me off.
But it made me love him even more, what a dick, haha. He really lives his gimmick.
But yeah, this is all long-winded, but those are my experiences.

I never liked Goldberg, but he's been nice every time. Rico and Tazz were always awesome in person. We talked to Angle too for a few minutes after he asked us for directions to a Waffle House. 2 months ago, we met The Highlanders, Dan Rodman, Carlito, HBK, Victoria, Umaga, Orton, Hardys, Cade and Murdoch, Masters, basically the whole RAW roster. Funny thing, Orton, Masters, and Rodman were all together, and had cigarettes hanging out of their mouth, They all disappeared into the bathrooom for like 5 minutes, the only one we needed a picture with was Rodimer, so we were waiting for them to finish who knows what. I thought only ladies went to the bathroom together? Anyway, they come out and we stop Rodman, who said,"You don't see many athletes like me smoking, yet still in great shape? You know why? Because I'm the next big thing!" Anyway, as I was about to take the pic of him and my friend, Orton walks right in front of them, and Masters stops and stands in front of them too. Rodman said move it guys, don't you see I am having my autograph signing? So then Orton says hurry up, and slaps him across the face. Now I don't like any of them, but it was funny to see them joking around and just having a good time. After watching Umaga walk around on his cell phone totally lost, talking about how he wants to eat right away, and not even knowing the name of his hotel or how to get there, he asked me to stop the hotel shuttle bus that just passed by. So I did, he thanked me and signed an autograph, and as we walked back up the terminal and looked out the window, he didn't even take that bus, I don't know how or when he got out of there! We still didn't get Mickie James, as she and Kenny vanished soon after we saw them walk by. Carlito was quiet, and HBK was cool.

Only Wrestler I met was the Undertaker, it was a quick exchange though near one of the doorways in the back at a house show. My friends uncle got us all in for free, that was the first wrestling event I ever went to. I'll never forget that night. It was back in october of 97,... Taker had the deadman gimmick but as he was going into the building, was dressed like the biker gimmick, was cool to see how he actually dressed back then before the biker gimmick came.
