I didn't know we were back in 97. We're not. I don't get your comment. He obviously ment that main-eventers in 1997 were credible and deserving, and oh, they actually got over and invented their own catch phrases.

I honestly dont think he even said that, what would be the point? Carlito calling in (while in character) saying that so Michael Cole can type it out? Just thank the article writer.

Ohh can I get sources to those who have said its a dream match? Sure Darren, Greg, Kirk, John, Greg F., Dwayne, Jen, Dave, Tommy, Antonio, Marco, and several other people at the Barnacles on Jimmy Carter Road in Norcross, Georgia where I and a few hundred fans watch the PPVs. We'll be there at the GAB if you want to come ask us all directly. I never said it was a "lot of internet fans" because whether you believe it or not, they are a still a small percentage of actual wrestling fans. 8 gajillion John Cena mercahndise items sold in the last two years is testimony to that. I never assumed you were talking internet fans. Another thing, Bobby Lashley is hardly from the biggest star in WWE as it was proven on Raw not even he could hold the attention of fans(judging by ratings) Cena and HHH are possibly the biggest suerstars...

We're not. I don't get your comment. He obviously ment that main-eventers in 1997 were credible and deserving, and oh, they actually got over and invented their own catch phrases. Ok. Well, yeah they were credible. And yeah, I never said I thought this match would be better than some of the Austin or Rock epics. But, 1997 is irrelevant when it comes to this match. We are dealing with the here and now, and whether anyone here likes it or not, Austin and Rock are retired, and Cena and Lashley are two of the biggest stars on the rosters. You can choose to live in the past, bitch and moan about how the glory days were better, or you can actually try to enjoy the show and give these guys a chance to become credible. There was a time when I thought the idea of Austin and Rocky as a world champ was ridiculous, and not credible. Funny how that changed. Or, you guys can actually follow through on your threats, and ACTUALLY turn off your tvs, stop going to shows, and stop buying figures, and MAYBE they would take your opinions more seriously. But even then, it wouldn't make much difference, because the hardcore fan is not the majority.

You said the top two guys are fighting for the first time.

I'd classify Taker and HBK as the biggest stars in the company.

I'd classify Taker and HBK as the biggest stars in the company. Again, I said two OF the biggest stars. Sure, they are two of the biggest stars, just like Cena and Lashley are two of the biggest stars. Of course, with HBK and Taker being injured, they aren't very useful for star power are they?

i thought dream matches were a top legend of the past vs a top current superstar. examples Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle or The Hardys vs The Rockers. Lashley Vs Cena is just another match nothing special about it.
