If his first appearance in the ring is any indication, he will be very successful. Consider this: he was in the ring with his legendary dad and with Randy Orton... whose name was the crowd chanting? "CO-DY! CO-DY! CO-DY!" Other than inducting Dusty in the Hall, that was the first time in front of a live television crowd. Dude didn't even speak. If the booking team protects him and makes him look strong, the sky is the limit for Dusty's kid. Because dude CAN'T speak. Cody's promos are twice as wooden as Chris Benoit's were. He's absolute trash on the mic. Which is why I don't think he'll ever really get anywhere. He'll stick around for a bit, maybe get an IC title reign (BIG maybe), then just kinda fall off.

They will probably use him as their new Randy Orton.

He's better than Randy Orton and he has bucket loads of skill and potential so yes I think he will be a success. Definantely moreso than Dusty's other son.

If he gets a push, it'll be down to nepotism - nothing else...

It depends what kind of gimmick, what kind of push he might get and his wrestling skills. If he's terrible on the mic then he might not have the best promos either. I think he will be a mid carder. Maybe a main eventer in a few years if he sticks around.

I thought so until I saw his match with Orton tonight.
I just think he's OK. Nothing too special. Will he be successful...if I was in charge...no.
But with the politics behind the scenes (Dusty working behind the scenes), it wouldn't surprise me if they really pushed this kid. He's too young and inexperienced in the ring. All that seasoning and training with his dad didn't impress me whatsoever.

I was fairly impressed. I actually thought his interview was pretty good.

I really saw a lot of potential in him from his match tonight, and I hope that they don't just send him back down to OVW after this feud with Orton is over.
He looked like he could handle himself well enough in the ring, and I love the old-school ring attire he was sporting.

He was impressive in the ring and has a bucketload of potential. I really hope he makes it into something big, because he looks like he could outperform over half the Raw roster already.

I don't think he'll have much success. WWE is gonna try to push him hard but I don't know if it'll work. His in ring skills aren't bad from what I seen tonight, still a little green but the thing that will hurt him most is the fact that he has no charisma at all and can't be taking seriously on the mic. Hopefully with time he will get better but right now I don't' see him having much of a future except for maybe winning the IC Title but how much success is that now of days?
