That version of kane right after he unmasked was awesome, by unforgiven they had ruined it Yup. The minute Kane took his mask off, he was the number one start by default, really. All the focus was on him. It was pretty unreal that Kane was unmasked. If they kept running with what they did for the first month or two, it would have been fantastic. He could have been huge. But he was so watered down by the fall. Then he just kept going downhill from there. Bangin Lita, and dragging a hook to the ring. They turned him into a circus act.

He had no burn make-up. It was his regular black make-up around his eyes that ran because of sweat.

The scars on his face were in his head, but I assume that he really did get burned but not as bad as he thought he did, because he must have no hair and no eye brows for a reason.

I remeber that night like it was yesterday. Like someone else said, it is one of my favorite Raw matches because I had no idea what so ever who was going to win.

That was an awesome raw. I think it was eye make-up running or maybe just marks from the inside leather of the mask like someone said. i believe Undertaker's face was similar back when he dressed as kane and took the mask off.
