Well, I just got home a little more than 20 mins ago. The show, I must admit, was fun and shocking at times. Here is a complete run down of how things went from my point of view.
Before the Show
I got there around 5:45 and I was hoping to go to that auto signing but it just seemed like a mess and I didnt feel like waiting in line. So, I went by the ramp where are the wrestlers entered. Really didnt see too many guys come in and out, but I did see Jimmy Snucka come in. As I waited there, Trevor Murdoch came out and went to his car a couple of times. Not much doing. Then at about 6:30, orton and eugene came out together and they picked up their girlfriends.
Show Time
I got in to my seats at about 7:20 and I knew there had to be a dark match. It was Lance and Trevor vs London and Spanky. This I must say was a very entertaining match and I think it shouldve been on the card. Was a great match to get the crowd going. Cade hit his special, and the match was over. After the match, Lillian sang the national anthem and the show was about to begin.
PPV Time
Kane vs Finlay
Was a decent match. Nothing to rave about. Seeing the Little Bastard run around was entertaining and seeing Kane pick up the win was good to see. Crowd seemed to be in and out of this match.
Kennedy vs Carlito vs Umaga
Kennedy to me, seemed to be the favorite although Umaga got a couple of cheers here and there. Once again, not an amazing match. Everyone got into the whole Kennedy introduction. Only thing to note of the match, once Umaga got the pin and the win, the crowd cheered for him. Meh, nothing to write home about.
Chavo vs Rey
Well, I must say, this match was hot and cold many of the times. It just wasnt that entertaining. I mean seeing Rey come back, yea that was nice. There were occasional "Eddie Eddie Eddie" chants throughout the match. The couple spots in the match that Rey hit were cool and all but I just wasnt impressed and it wasnt anything new to me. Rey picked up the win and all the little kiddies were cheering.
Divas Battle Royal
Well, this was a piss break for many people as the isles were crowed at times. This match couldve been replaced by that tag match earlier on. Just nothing special, no wardrobe malfunctions and nothing that good. Just a waste of time.
MVP Open Challenge
At first, when the guy brought in the cooler, I thought it was bobbing for apples. I was mucho wrong about that fact. As soon as he said drinking contest I started shouting Stone Cold and I knew it was gonna be Austin and I think most of the crowd did too. Still, Austins pop was CRAZY loud. I was a little dissapointed that Austin didnt hit the mic as he is amazing on it. Oh well, still good to see him getting the crowd going. This was a good note of the night.
C.M. Punk vs John Morrison
Very veeeeeerrrry disappointed. I mean, beyond disappointed. I was hoping to see Punk win this one but it just didnt go that way. Punk hit his occasional big moves but then, the match was over. And the way it ended left a very bad taste in my mouth. It kind of seemed like a botched ending. The crowd didnt seem to into this one really either. I dont blame them. Ehhh not too happy with this match.
HHH vs Booker T
Booker hit the ring with a lot of heat. With HHH's whole entrance, I thought it was just perfect. Love the way he came out with the pyro and then the old music. Ahhh nice job on WWE's part. HHH looked great and the crowd was all into this one. This shouldve been the 2nd to last match on the card. I think the whole thing was poorly booked. Ill go on later about that point. The crowd was hot with "Booker Sucks" and "Triple H" chants. Hunter picked up the win and posed around the ring for about 4mins after the match ended.
Khali vs Batista
Good god, this match was boring and a waste of time. Khali just cant work a match. Why is this man champion? Honestly, why? The match gained a BIG boring chant with all those boring submissions. Just a waste of time with a crap ending. Terrible, just god awful.
Cena vs Orton
You know, for once, I honestly didnt know which way WWE was gonna go with this one. Does WWE give Orton the belt, who is supposed to be a heel and he gets cheered when he wins? Or does WWE let Cena keep the belt and probably get booed when he wins? I didnt know, I just sat back and listened and watched as the crowd went back and forth "Lets go cena, Cena sucks!" I was at ONS2 and believe me, we ripped Cena a new one so this wasnt anything compared to it but still, he got his fair share of boos. When Cena hit the FU, I knew it was over. Cena got the win and crowd filed out. You couldnt really hear the boos anymore, only cheers.
After the Show
Cena was celebrating, and as he was starting to walk out, he grabs a sign from some guy in the front row by the entrance way. The sign stated "If Cena Wins, We Riot". Cena grabbed it, went back in the ring and held it up. That got some boo's. Security then came outta nowhere and made sure that there were no riots. Cena gave the sign back as Cena and the guy exchanged words and shook hands. The show was over. The party ended.
Outside the Arena
I waited outside to see if I could meet up with Matt Striker, my actual former teacher. Im pretty sure I saw him drive away in a car which i was too happy about. Who came out was Layla and Kelly Kelly. Layla was taking pictures with everyone who wanted it seemed. Extremely nice lady. kelly kelly did take pictures eventually with some fans but not as many a Layla. Then i saw Orton, Matt hardy, Khali, Little Bastard, Cherry who took pictures with a few people, and a couple of others.
Overall, my final thought of Summer Slam
I was happy to see Stone Cold and HHH and maybe even Rey. I think the whole show was poorly booked. Khali cant work a match, The divas cant wreslte, the tag team division should be pushed, ECW should have been given better credit, and for god sake, there was NO TITLE CHANGE!!! How is there a PPV with no title change. I had a good time but I was disappointed about most of the outcomes. I will post my pictures sometime tomorrow as its late now.
