I've liked Edge bascially since I started watching wrestling. Hell, it's where my username came from. He became one of my favorites instantly. He's a great performer in the ring and out. He's can be one hell of a face, and an even better heel.

I too have met Edge in person. I guess i failed to mention that part. And believe it or not, it was right before Wrestlemania 21 in LA. Man was he uncomfortable at that autograph signing. It just happened to be the beginning of when everybody found out what Edge and Lita had done.
Now i can't comment much on the Matt Hardy/Lita relationship, because it never spilled onto the net or wrestling world like Edge/Lita.

Stone Cold Steve Austin has a history of alcohol abuse and domestic violence. Why do people like him? Oh yeah, because he's one hell of a sports entertainer. Thats a very good point. I like him because he's a cool guy outside the ring (Havent heard anything bad about him at all) and a awesome performer in the ring.

People shouldn't judge who they like and dislike because of some personal stuff that happened

I have never really liked Edge... just find him boring... The only time he was interesting to me, was when he was with Christian, during the '5 second pose' era...

Now i know i might get flammed for this, but why do people like Edge? Granted, he's a very talented perfomer in the ring and on the mic, but don't people remember a few years back when he ruined the lives of Matt Hardy, Lita, and himself? I for one think he's great in the ring and on the mic, but outside of that, I think he's a scumbag for what he did to Matt Hardy. What are your thought? Everyone ****s on Edge for what he did. Did anyone consider what Matt Hardy did? Matt Hardy is far, far, far from a sweet and innocent angel. I have seen first hand how possesive and smothering Matt was towards Lita. He wanted her by his side at all times. He commanded her and downright verbally abused her. Lita has had a more than murky past with men and probably sought refuge in the arms of another man. Not trying to stick up for Edge. But it certainly helps explain the situation. ^^ I totally agree. I'm a big Jeff Hardy fan so I bought all "The Hardy Show" dvds. Matt comes off like an a**clown on that show and I also got the impression that he doesn't know how to respect women from the way he talked (but then again, I don't know how "real" their reality show is). By the way, I'm not bashing Matt Hardy because I'm a Edge fan. I'm just saying he might not be as innocent as people made him out to be. Besides, didn't he cheat on Lita before the whole Edge thing happened or was that just a rumor?

I used to hate him for what he did to Matt Hardy. After a while, I got over it. He is a tremendous performer and one of the best heels in the business today.

Don't worry about what he does in his personal life worry about what you see on television.

Some people are able to separate the wrestler from the person. Try it; it works.

Quite frankly, he and Hardy both had their fair share of questionable incidences during that whole affair.
To me, it seems like that has been the one and only big negative thing Edge has ever done. He comes off as a really nice guy, and very very humble, especially if you read his book. Not to mention he's a hell of a wrestler and an absolutely incredible heel.

I loved him since he first made his debut. He's good in the ring, great on the mic, and is just incredible all around not to mention one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Judging Edge or Matt (or Lita for that matter) for the personal problems they had is idiotic.
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't have skeletons in their closets, mistakes in their past, or incidents that they're simply not proud of. If they've moved past it all, then that's it. The end. It isn't like Edge, Lita, OR Matt killed anyone. The only person outside of that trio that was truly effected by the whole mess was Edge's Wife.
I also find it stupid as hell that someone would bash Matt for the way he handled the break-up. How many of you bungholes ever had a great, mature reaction to a cheating girlfriend? And as far as Matt and Lita's relationship previous to that goes, we don't know. Anyone who claims that they do . . . especially fans who say they saw it "first hand" need to get a grip. You don't have a clue, truth be told.
As far as to why I like Edge, it's simple. He's a great all-around performer who's over as both a face and a heel. He's as entertaining outside the ring as he is inside, and he never fails to put on a great performance. I've been rooting for the guy since his WWF debut . . . which by the way I reciently discovered that I had on an old, forgotten tape . . . and I'm sure I'll be with him till he retires. Here's to hoping that the WHC will be put right back on him upon his healthy return!

I love the gimmick he has. He outsmarts the dumb faces on a regular basis. On the ladder matches DVD I laugh so hard when him and Christian start the match, go attack, then when everyone else goes to fight, they sneak out, grab the ladder, and start to climb, lol, that is so funny. I just like the way they use him, its hilarious.
