I wouldnt say an off season, but maybe 2 weeks during the year so superstars can rest. I think even Vince should take a break, and take a breath. Theres been so many deaths in wrestling, and with the whole Benoit action, I think everyone could use some time to step away from the ring, rest up, and come back where they left off.

No... for the simple reason that wrestling is not a real sport - it's a business... The WWE needs to run constantly throughout the year - otherwise it would lose a hell of a lot of revenue... and Vince can't have that... Also, as someone said - they have a TV contract and obligations to fulfil... so a shutdown - no matter how short, is not a viable option...

I think there should be a minimum of 2 months a year working a "TNA schedule", where the only events of the week are the TV events, with no house shows.
Like... the week after big PPVs. 8 times a year, just one week. I think it would make a big difference in the wear and tear of the workers, giving them more time to rest.
In addition, it might make the house shows more special.

Wrestling might not be a real sport, but there bodies get put through hell. The WWE wouldn't lose alot of money. There putting on ****ty TV right now and still making money, besides, you should be putting the health of your talent above everything else, THEY make the money for you, shouldn't you do everything to protect them so they can have longer careers, thus making you more money? The TV shows could be filled with "best of shows" or shows from WWE 24/7. They need to either do one of two things 1) after mania, close up for a few months, give time for the guys to heal up, then be back on the road or 2) Have the guys on rotation. For example, Wrestler A works 6 weeks of shows, then is off for a month, then wrestler B fills in, and vice versa

But Cena's rein will be longer with no title defences.

I think yes, the wrestlers would get breaks and come back to be on top of their game and probably host great matches, and we would have less media haters sayting that wrestlers are too overworked and need breaks....

maybe a month or two.
they deserve a break. and in my opinion, they need a month or so off soon, after all that has happened recently.

I mean a 2 week break yes...no more than that I dont think. WWE dont have the coverage from other networks and things to keep wrestling in peoples minds during a long off season...but i think its needed for the well being of wrestlers.

Can't see the TV or PPV's stopping for a few months, would lose WWE too much money, plus would be hard to maintain casual fans watching with an erractic scheduling system & TV Execs wouldn't allow it.
Perhaps instead WWE could keep the all important TV & PPV's as usual and just cancel the House shows for a few months. Would mean that the wrestlers are then only working 5/6 dates a month during the down time & house shows are hardly the big moneymakers that it was decades ago anyway.
