It wasn't a beer bottle. That was a Sabu/Cactus match. The fans used to bring weapons for the wrestlers to use at ECW. Frying pans became popular, and a lot of fans bought cheap, lightweight ones at a dollar store near ECW Arena. During this match, Cactus grabs a pan from a crowd member and bashes Sandman with it. Cactus then realizes it's a cast iron frying pan. Sandman says he doesn't remember anything past the first few minutes of the 14 minute match because of a concussion from the pan shot. He was on auto pilot the rest of the match, and that's why he wouldn't stay down for the finish.
