they should absolutely bring back some of the WCW PPV names. like it or not, WCW is a HUGE part of wrestling history, and had some pretty decent PPV names/concepts. i'd bring back fall brawl w/ war games as the main event and halloween havoc w/ the "spin the wheel, make the deal" main event. i think that those 2 in particular would still work in today's wrestling world.
and i'd like to see them bring back the clash of the champions. PPV-style events on free TV are always awesome(even if the titles never changed hands at COTC). maybe do one every 3 or 4 months and air it in RAW or SD's timeslot.

Id be just satisfyed with Halloween Havoc. That stage and design was bad ass. I'd replace Cyber Sunday.

No, don't take a good company's names and **** on them. It's become more and more obvious that wCw was anything but a good company . . . . to the contrary, it was a complete mess after the JCP days. I actually like the ppv names as they are. A few could maybe be peppered in, but definately not Starrcade. That was a signature NWA (and later wCw) event that needs to be left alone.

I also wish they'd incorporate the idea of BATB for SummerSlam, having sand and stuff around the entrance. Or surround the ring with a pool like those Spring Break Nitros.

Just because it was a mess the last few years of its' existence doesn't mean it was a bad company. They defeated WWF in the ratings for 83 straight weeks. WCW was a huge part of wrestling history.. and the fact that you're "spelling" it the InVasion angle way makes me question whether or not you ever watched it before they were bought out.

Of course I watched WAY before then . . . I just write it as wCw out of habit, nothing more. Was wcw entertaining? Sure, I won't argue that. My only thing is how much you hear nowadays about how muffed up the company was behind the scenes. It kinda takes away from the mystique of their "good ol days" for me. The glass ceiling, the guaranteed contracts . . . just a couple of things that made a once great company a cluster-muff. Wcw was indeed a huge part of history, I don't dispute that. I just think that most of it needs to be left alone, and not rehashed.

I agree that I don't like things behing rehashed, but I don't think a single PPV name would matter much, especially one as badass as Halloween Havoc. Now if they rose WCW from the dead and re-instated it as a 4th brand..then I'd be pissed.

The whole Halloween theme sells, so Halloween Havoc would be nice in October for No Mercy. Replace Armageddon with Starrcade. And bring back Fall Brawl War Games that was my favourite WCW PPV.
September: Fall Brawl War Games (take out Unforgiven)
October: Halloween Havoc (take out No Mercy)
December: Starrcade (take out Armaggedon)

The one I wouldn't like to see is Starrcade over Armageddon. Starrcade was WCW's biggest PPV of the year, and if they bring it back it'll be like every other PPV. THAT would be pissing on WCW, right there..

Not a bad idea at all. I'd love to see PPV's like Spring Stampede, Uncensored, Starrcade, Fall Brawl and Halloween Havoc again. It would be great.

No, don't take a good company's names and **** on them. How did I know that when I clicked on this thread there would be somebody saying that. When a company buys out another company, they can crap on it and rub it in the dirt as much as they like.
