There was no lashing out at wrestling at all. I thought he did a pretty good job of atleast admitting that there is a problem. He certainly didn't bash WWE at all, he clearly put them over for fixing the party atmosphere.
That was one of the better and more honest interviews that I've read by a wrestler on this topic lately.

Wait...wasn't it reported back when Hogan returned for his match against Orton that Hogan missed one of the RAWs which the wrestlers just so happened to be tested for drugs?

I agree with Thug..I don't see him " lashing out" at wrestling. It sounds like he's genuinely concerned about this, and that says something- when the greatest wrestler ever is concerned about the rampant steroids problem. Maybe Congress will do something now..

I think theres probably legitimate concern, but also i think he tends to jump on the bandwagon when it suits also! He always likes to be a little controversial and get some publicity...

Are you being serious? I love you people who think that there's always some hidden agenda behind whatever Hogan says. Is Hulk Hogan the guy calling TV stations or journalists asking for them to interview him? I don't think so, buddy. If reporters want to get Hogan's opinions on the impact steroids has in professional wrestling, why is he going to censor himself and make it sound like everything is fine when it's clearly not? If he came out and said, "Professional wrestling is fine...steroids have no impact in the business at all" then you would all be calling him a hypocrite. I applaud the fact that he came out and said this. Steroids are clearly as big of a problem as they ever were and if the most popular wrestler of all time speaks, maybe there's a chance congress will listen. I don't know about you guys, but I kinda get sick and tired of seeing some of my favorite wrestlers dying on a regular basis.

Of course Hogan's lashing out at wrestling, anyone who doesn't follow the McMahon party line bullcrapis "lashing out" at wrestling.
Remember.
- All Ted Turner and WCW's fault. - Not indicative of today, and no amount of deaths can change that. - You can't know the Wellness Policy if you aren't in the locker room. - Testosterone is not a steroid. - And it was all Ted Turner and WCW's fault.

and Hogan would be ....what without wrestling? And wrestling would be....what without Hogan? Wrestling would be exactly what it is today with or without Hogan. If it wouldn't have been Terry Bolea it would have been someone else who revolutionized wrestling, it was simply right place at the right time. McMahon made Hulkamania, Hulkamania didn't make wrestling.

I cannot believe you just had the guts to say that McMahon made Hulkamania. How on earth can you say that wrestling would be exactly what is today with or without Hogan with a straight face? I'll put it for you in simpler words...No Hogan means no big boom of the 80's. Newsflash....Hulkamania was born in the AWA during Hogan's run there and McMahon just took it to the next level. The popularity was there and had Vern Gagne not been such an idiot to want Hogan's money from Japan, who knows what would have happen. I don't know how educated you are with old school wrestling in those days but the WWF did not have anyone near Hogan in terms of popularity, charisma and the ability to bring in casual viewers. What other wrestler would have been able to host Saturday Night Live or been on the cover of Sports Illustrated at that time? No one! Who else in the WWF could have been in the role? Snuka had drug problems and still had the incident with his girlfriend hanging over him; JYD was popular but had his drug problems as well; Piper was a heel and its kinda hard to go national with a heel as the main person of your company. There was Andre the Giant but this is when his health started taking a turn for the worst. You are most likely one of the members of the IWC who I discussed in my previous post wanting to bash Hogan constantly, no matter what he says or does and cannot give the man his due as the man who revolutionized the industry and put it on the map in mainstream attention.

Wrestling may have made Hogan but Hogan helped put wrestling on the map. There is a big problem in wrestling and I respect Hogan for admitting to it.

^ Yup...that sure sounds like a guy who just wants to steal the spotlight. Maybe now you people will stop saying "TEH HOGAN SUX WWE DONT NED HIMZ!1!!" and realize that he's generally concerned about the industry and other people's lives. Despite what some of you might think, Hulk Hogan is not satan. *gasp*

People are so stupid. If babe ruth was alive and stepped up about steriods in baseball then Ken Camminetti (?) could still be alive. Bonds wouldnt be breaking the "greatest record in sports". Hogan is the babe ruth of wrestling. You people piss and moan when Eddie Guerrero died. Talking about how great of a person was. How heaven needed a champion. Eddie Guerrero used steriods, as did Hogan. The only thing that kept Guerrero from comming out was HE DIED. Maybe there comes a point in a mans life when he realizes that a friends life means more then money, cars, fake boobs, record albums and body slammng Andre The Giant. If you want to hate Hogan for not wanting to job Fine, thats a professional move. But hating him and cutting him down for doing something MORALLY right, just shows how people have become so materialistic!
