There's a very interesting story behind Cryme Tyme's release from WWE. Backstage, there has been heat between Cryme Tyme and Cade & Murdoch for several weeks. During an altercation at a house show this weekend, Shad from Crime Tyme said to Trevor Murdock, "Whatever happens out there happens". This was seen as a direct threat and Murdoch addressed Shad's threat in front of the rest of the locker room.
Cade & Murdoch decided to pull a rib on Cryme Tyme involving the referee of their match that night and a major swerve. There was a spot in the match where JTG gets bumped out of the ring and gets back in right before getting counted out. The swerve was that the ref was going to count very fast at the end and disqualify Cryme Tyme - -without them knowing the real finish to the match. After it went down, Cryme Tyme was shocked -- but immediately gave the referee their finishing maneuver - took off his belt and auctioned it off in the crowd!
Although the referee was protected during the move and they stayed in character by auctioning off his belt, Cryme Tyme still performed their finisher on somebody who did not expect it or was trained to take it and were seen as the real "bad guys" of the whole situation. They were released after the show.

So they tricked someone before a trick was played on them. Weird, I guess.

I still don't think it was their fault.
To me the discipline should have been taken against Cade and Murdoch for switching the finisher, Cryme Tyme was trying to save face at that point.

Wait.. So Cryme Tyme, the most over tag team in the WWE gets released because Cade and Murdoch, who will never EVER be over, and never looked at as serious champions, pull a prank on them?
Who cares though? Shad and JTG were screwed out of how many title shots anyway? They've been No. 1 contenders like 6 times and never got matches.
TNA. TNA. TNA.

I think the "Whatever happens out there happens" may have been a major factor in the release. If it IS a threat, it should happen backstage, not in the ring, ala Batista/Booker and Matt/Edge, who had real heat but were still professional in the ring.

I don't really know if that was release worthy, but still they probably did the wrong thing, but still Cade & Murdoch should take some fall for this, but whatever.

seems like Cade and Murdoch should have been the ones who had action taken on them...

Unbelievable.....Cade and Murdoch are real bungholes. Be professional about it I mean "What ever happens, happens" is not a direct threat in my opinion. For the love of christ Matt Hardy's g/f cheated on him with Edge...and they still managed to be adults and perform professionally about it. I actually lyked Cryme Tyme and would have loved to seen them as champs. Cade and Murdoch suck....they are just flat out boring, bland and bad.

seems like Cade and Murdoch should have been the ones who had action taken on them... exactly. if that story is 100% true, I believe Cade/Murdoch should be talked to as well. I agree with the other people as well saying Cade/Murdoch will never be over as a team. I think what WWE is doing is protecting Cade as I believe he'll become a singles wrester soon because of his size/looks. I want to say that I would expect Cryme Tyme to be back someday, I also though that about K-Kwick (not sure what his name is in TNA)

There was other ways to save face instead of doing your finisher on the ref who isnt trained to take it. A rib is a rib. Cade and murdoch's rib didnt put anyone in danger what Cryme tyme did though was

so the ref gets no blame? someone who is supposed to be 'above' all that (exception Hebner) for changing a finish without letting the participants know?

Yeah Cryme Tyme is to blame here. It was a house show, C&M was just playing a rib on them with the ref, they wanted to stay face so they layed thier finisher on the ref so grabing him without his knowledge is pretty much legit attack. If they wanted to stay face they should of just took the belt.
