In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Robert Huffman (King Booker) quit WWE when he was told that he was to be suspended for 60 days, as a punishment to the Signature Pharmacy bust. He was believed to have failed a Wellness Program test before, hence the 60 days suspension instead of 30.
While WWE is still trying to negotiate Huffman's staying with them, they're going on under the impression he's done. The two sides had been having troubles recently, with a major setback being John Laurinaitis' call to go with Florida for a developmental territory - where WWE would start from scratch - instead of going with Booker's already established PWA, which WWE had been loaning wrestlers to. After they made the call to stop that, Booker went to his friends at TNA and booked them for his shows instead, which didn't sit so well with anyone backstage, but they couldn't say much having pulled WWE talent from PWA.
Booker is pretty much set financially and has wanted out of wrestling for a while. At age 42, he's accomplished a lot, and thanks to his hip hop store doing well in Houston, and his two wrestling schools up and running, there's really no need for him to stick around.

Not sure if this was already posted or not but if its true, WWE is in a lot of trouble in losing its stars lately.

What can anybody do... The WWE is in a major bind right now. No rising superstars ready to establish themselves in the industry the way guys like the Rock & Stone Cold did back in the '90's. I'm one of the few that likes Cena, but I feel as though without a heel turn in his immediate future...fans will start tuning out of WWE programming altogether. The product has been horrible for awhile and I can't just sit back watching guys like Booker because they were cool as heck during the Monday Night Wars for nostalgia sake. The WWE never really looked ahead (as far as planning their future) and their talent scouting flat out sucks. They need a shake-up. Maybe with guys like Flair and Booker walking away...it'll light a fuse in McMahons ass and things will start to change for the better...

This is terrible news if its true. He is by far the most entertaining as of recent IMO. I thought he just signed a new 3 year deal?

I'd quit too if I was Huffman, seems like he's been getting f*cked over Quite a bit.
I mean, He spent quite a bit of money on PWA to set it up as the next Developmental Fed, and then to have a d*ck like John Laurinaitis to say " Screw PWA, Where gonna start from Scratch with FCW because My Friend runs it " Just seals it, Also him having to have a Stupid Gimmick to make him Champion and Him getting a 60 Day Suspension would really convince any Wrestler to Quit.
Could Booker be the " Former-World Champ " TNA is in Negotiations with?, I mean he has a " some sort " of Relation with TNA, I would be sorta Surprised if you see him at the Impact Zone at No Surrender.

What a bummer. He was my favorite guy on RAW, by far, but at least he's set for life with all his other business ventures.

As much as I hate the King Booker character, I want Booker T to have just one last run.

I would be pissed if I were him too. He wasn't my favorite on RAW, but he's a good guy and a great performer.
It's a shame to see him go like this, maybe we will see him elsewhere soon.

Booker is a great wrestler and this is a loss, his matches were really good to watch weather he was Booker T or King Booker, I really hope that him and WWE can work something out

Yeah this does really suck. I always liked Booker. But it sounds like he is just getting tired of the wrestling business and I can't blame him. He's been in the business for a long time and if he's set for life and his hip hop store and PWA is doing good then that's great, I'm happy for him.
