I too was one that wanted the belt off Cena, but certainly not like this.
At least he'll be back, by Wrestlemania, possibly.

As much as I hate, and I do mean hate Cena for his in ring ability, it sucks he wouldn't lose it in a match.
Here is to hopin Y2J comes back wins the belt and has a couple month reign before dropping to HHH or Orton.

I really hope this isnt a work.....The smart thing to do would be having Orton (number 1 contender) vs Kennedy (the guy that "put cena out of action") face off...Have either one win as they both work well as heels...Then as their hand is raised bring in Jericho to start up a feud....I cant see HBK or Triple H being there seeing how HHH has lost 2 of his last 3 matches and HBK hasnt been in action in 3-4 months I'm thinking it's a work. There was a report going around before WM that he was taking time off to film a movie at the beginning of October. I'll see if I can find it.

This is like when Eddie and Benoit died, and some people were like "It's a work, it's part of the Vince storyline, it's part of Batista's storyline, Eddie will return at Mania...". Cena is injured. End of. WWE wouldn't just drop Cena 6 days before a big title defense.

YES YES YES NEW CHAMPION NEW CHAMPION
normally I wouldn't be happy that a champion had to surrender their title (was a shame when Edge had to) but when I guy has been champion for over a year and has an ego or doesn't step up to say I'll put __ over tonight, time to pass the torch, he deserves it.

Cena pass the torch? Hes only 30 years old why would he pass the torch to somebody now?

That is a ridiculous post. Cena doesn't have an ego, he is probably the number 1 guy when it comes to fans. Do you think he goes "I don't want to job tonight", he doesn't book his own matches. He is the current number 1 guy who is currently probably not even in his prime so why would he need to pass the torch.

guys....this is fake....he's not hurt. This is just a way to get the WWE title off of him without jobbing him out to somebody.
Jericho will beat Orton.

It's unfortunate that Cena is suffering from a bad injury, I'll give him that. But personally and honestly, he wore out his welcome long ago despite having the occasional good match. His title reign became increasingly repetitive, and he kept phoning it in match after match. I am so glad he is finally no longer champion, because there's no doubt in my mind that WWE would have gladly given him plenty more months as the reigning champion.
Even though it's through injury, this finally lets things get interesting. With the rumored return of Chris Jericho, I couldn't be happier about this news. Now instead of being fed to Cena, Jericho might actually get another run with the gold when/if he comes back.

I'm glad to see Cena lose. But I don't wish injury on any wrestler. Like it's been said, we'll have a breath of fresh air and new champion.

I'm on the front lines of the Hate Cena bandwagon, but I will say he gives 100% and its a shame for him to be taken out like this.

He is hurt, if he wasn't hurt they'd only have him out for a month to 2 months max. I can't believe people think this is just a work it'd be a very stupid move if it was. And WWE knows it.
