I definetley dont want the book, but my mom will probably buy it for me cause she supports my reading, she thinks I like Batista and knows I like wrestling books. So I'll have to read it to feel less guilty that my mom wasted 20 some bucks on some piece of crap.

The only book written by a Superstar is Eddie Guerrero, it was a good read too. I may have to pick this one up. Mick Foley wrote his own book....

Yea I know he isnt the best wrestler but he admits it in the book. So Batista knows he's crap yet makes no effort to improve himself? Now there's a guy that commands respect...

Seriously, this goes against all I know from an indy stand-point, but Batista is doing just enough to be in the title picture. Obviously he has no idea what to do to improve. Especially considering his gimmick is he's a power-house, with the sited advantage being he can probably knock you out with one shot. Doesn't leave alot of room or credibility if he busted out a Dragonrana or a Damascus head-leglock

Well obviously he feels he improved compared to before... Which he has. The previous posts I gave to this were relaxed and nice. But honestly, I feel Batista since coming to Smackdown has been less than hot and cold. It's like when Lashley left Smackdown, the continued improvement was a complete hault. It's not even me taking to task the beefed up guys, The Miz was gaining credibility on smackdown while he mixed it up with Benoit, Hardy and Finlay. However those three just do nothing for me at the moment. Miz is acceptable because he is a heel, gets mic time, and it helps me accept him. But like with Batista, I just don't buy him some times. He seems like he's a permanent fit in the top of the card, and therefor not alot can be done about it. But I personally feel if he showed more intensity in the ring, where he'd just take a beating as well as give one all to entertain, I'd change my mind. He's long over-due for a heel turn, and his feud with Taker... not a heel turn, just a dislike for Undertaker losing at Mania.

I have no respect for Batista the person. The only way I'll be reading his book is if I find the book for $1 or I receive it as gift.

I'm pretty sure the guy with the obese man in front of a computer in his sig, occasionally talks like that. At least all in caps.

It was reported some of the stuff he says in his book was just lies.
Even still, Batista will never gain my respect

Mick Foley and Edge both wrote theirs by themselves... so did Y2J and I beliveve Eddie didn't. I think he is saying Eddie is the only Superstar with a book. Either that or this guy has no idea what he is talking about.

ya everything in the book is definitly not true. if for one line it says anything about him wanting to be a wrestler - lie. he was hired because of his size, and i doubt WWE sould let him say that in a book

ya everything in the book is definitly not true. if for one line it says anything about him wanting to be a wrestler - lie. he was hired because of his size, and i doubt WWE sould let him say that in a book How would you know if it's true or not? I just finished reading it (I decided to read it in one night, it's only 305 pages, it's really not that long) and he states over and over that he watched wrestling but knows he was hired because of his size and his look. The book itself isn't anything special. It's kind of like Edge's where it was an entertaining read, but it came out way too soon. What I enjoyed about the book though is Batista pretty much calls out every mistake he's made and seems genuinely grateful to be where he is. "I'm one of those guys who sometimes wonders how he got to the big time. I know my limits. I'm not extremely talented. I'm terrible on the mike. I have physical limitations." There, if you wanted to bash him, he pretty much does it himself. I respect him for being able to say that. He calls himself out whenever he's acted like an bunghole, even in regards to the King Booker Summerslam commercial situation. And there's not as much drama as was hyped in the book. It really wasn't that bad. It's an inoffensive book and a good read for a couple days. It won't go down as one of the best, but if anything, it just gave me a little more respect for Batista. I don't care for him much as a wrestler for the most part, but I respect him more as a person now.

The only book written by a Superstar is Eddie Guerrero, it was a good read too. I may have to pick this one up. Eddie's book had a ghost writer, Michael Krugman. Mick Foley & Edge are the only wrestlers to write their books without the aid of a ghost writer (under WWE development).
