Appears to be gone. www.wwe.com/superstars/smackdown/They don't even have it down as vacant anymore. Maybe I'm just looking too far into it, but I really hope they didn't just get rid of it. |

I figured they would get rid of it since they were merging Smackdown with ECW. I guess the ECW title is replacing it.

I figured they would get rid of it since they were merging Smackdown with ECW. I guess the ECW title is replacing it. If they do indeed merge ECW into SmackDown! I doubt there will really be an ECW Title, due to there being no ECW. My guess is that they'll just bring in a new belt all together. |

From what I had read, the plan was to quietly retire the belt after it was stripped from the midget.

Now they will introduce their version of the X-Division belt, which I suppose the ECW belt would serve as. Then, just as in TNA, the "other" belt will be more interesting than the World title.

I've wondered what they've done with it as well. I don't know why they haven't just given the title to Noble.
Also when Cena lost the title there was nothing there on the Raw superstars page so that really means nothing.

It has been a joke though lately so maybe getting rid of a while and briniging it back will give it back some kind of actual prestige.
