IMO, WWE Is all over the place. They've got 3 different brands, 1-2 PPVs a month, 3-4 weekly shows, etc. Too much. The storylines are nothing that grab people's attention or make casual fans die-hards again. Part of this I think stems from the fact that storylines are changing on a monthly basis to adjust for the next PPV. The only storyline that I've found worthy of watching is the Matt Hardy - MVP feud. Others I couldn't care less for because they'll be changing in a months time. I've been watching since 1994 and there have been times when my interest greatly declines and increase. I've always kept up with the main and some sub-storylines. But right now, I cannot say I am highly inerested in what is going on simply because WWE has become stale...big time. I will always see the late-80's and early-90's as the heyday of the WWF with 1998-1999 following. No other time periods have sparked my interested as much. I really hope one day I am able to say that the 80's/90's are second. I know a lot of people are saying different things to help make the WWE more appealing. However there are a few thing sI bet would definitely help the WWE and wrestling overall: - Less PPVs, maybe 8-10 a year - Longer, more intelligent storylines - Live Televised PPV-like Supercards (like Clash of the Champions, SNME, etc) 2-3 times a year - Monday Night Wars II: WWE vs. TNA I'll keep watching simply for the wrestling aspect, but not all fans will react the same way i do. I agree with all of your suggestions but the last one. I don't think the WWE needs to openly take on TNA. To do so would legitimize TNA in the eyes of the casual wrestling fan and give them a huge bump. This would be good for TNA and probably for wrestling fans in general, but it would be a big mistake for the WWE. They're much better off marketing themselves as the be all and end all of the wrestling world. (Which isn't too terribly far from the truth to be honest.)

1. ALL wrestling products right now are really stale (other than Chikara) 2. Several PPV's each month kills any momentum towards anything MAJOR or AWESOME 3. Less is more and there is MORE than less right now 4. Kayfabe, although silly, is gone and needs to be reinstilled into ALL products (online, tv, house shows, etc). 5. It's not just you.

I had this same problem in 2005, after watching wrestling since 1997( starting with WCW). New Year's Revolution was the 1st straw. Seeing Triple H with his tenth title reign, the most pointless one ever, pissed me off. Wrestlemania 21 would be the final strike. Seeing Cena & Batista win the World Titles completely pushed me away from wrestling. I tried watching, but by July 2005 I was completely out of it.
I didn't start watching again until Wrestlemania 23.
To be honest..I'll never be as passionate about wrestling as I used to be. I'll never shed a tear or pour water over myself in celebration like I did when Angle won at Unforgiven 2001. I watch now more as a casual fan. I complain a lot about things in the WWE, but I still watch it and am entertained. I'll just never..you know..care that much about the outcomes.

I've lost a lot of passion for watching wwe. It's been awhile since I've watched a full episode of raw. I watch a little of ecw for CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer. I hardly ever watch smackdown anymore. I think the wwe product is at its worst now since I started watching back in 1991. It's a good thing they release dvds of the old school stuff that I grew up watching and before.

i think it has a lot to do with the internet generation of people knowing everything about wrestling that killed it.now you know beyond any shadow of a doubt that it is scripted and the results are predetermined.any time something is gonna happen bang its on the net and then when you see it it loses its impact.also the mcmahons destroying the territories was kind of the thing that killed wrestling.you really only have a narrow choice on what to watch.its all high spots and no ring psychology anymore.i havent seen a good feud buildup in a long time.also i think it really is just for kids nowadays who didnt grow up before the attitude era when you had the awa, nwa, wccw, mid south, florida and countless others.you guys might not agree but when you go to the classic wrestling page and see someone say the best feud was like coachman vs.stacy kiebler you know that there is somethong wrong somewhere.i have recently gotten into old videos of 80's wrestling and i havent watched smackdown or raw in about two years as it really sucks.any interesting feud they totally screw up,one week its one thing then the next its totally forgotten about like it never happened.i know wrestling goes in cycles but i dont think it will get any better.if jericho comes back so what?i like him and he's a good wrestler but its nothing new,he'll do the same moves list he always does and they will totally srew up anything he does story wise.lets all face it its gonna take a lot to bring wrestling back.

It looks as if you've 'outgrown' wrestling.
I watc WWE for enjoyment, and that's it. I don't pick faults or complain about it, I watch it because I'm a fan and I watch it to see my favourite Superstars. I know that sounds like a child speaking, but it's true.

2005 I pretty much stopped watching it as much. It was an awful WWE year: John Cena wins the WWE championship Jericho left Eddie Guerrero died
And a load of other crap. But a lot of good has happened in 2007 so I'm starting to get back into it.
WWE's best efforts requires WCW's competition.

I used to watch it as much as I could. I live in England so we would get Raw and Nitro on a friday night, but at different times, so I would watch both, then on Saturdays, there was the previous weeks Shotgun Challenge, or Jakked or Livewire, whatever was on I would watch it. But then in around 2004, I started watching less and less until I stopped completely, WWE is nothing compared to what it used to be and that's what made me stop watching, but a year or two on, I'm starting to watch WWE again, not that I feel things have greatly improved, things are pretty bad if you ask me, but I just missed wrestling and now I watch it whenever I can.
So who knows, mabye in a year or two you'll be back enjoying it again.
