this is so wierd, yesterday I was thinking that she should go into the HOF next year, prefebly before she died so she could feel the experience. I guess that won't happen, I'm surprised she went before mae young tho. RIP She's already in the Hall of Fame... |

Lillian Ellison, no doubt one of wrestling's true pioneers who stood the test of time. To say she paved the way for generations of female wrestlers to come, from Wendi to Trish, from Sherri to Madusa, and beyond, would be the understatement of all time.
Moolah loved her sport, her comrades within it, and the young ladies she helped train for the ring. Not only did she help train those ladies, she also fed, housed and clothed many of them at her home in Columbia, South Carolina. Some didn't like her business practices and argued that as a businesswoman, she adopted many of the same traits as promoter Billy Sandow (a controversial figure who controlled women's wrestling with an iron fist in the early days), but nevertheless, it cannot be denied that Moolah did everything she could to give back to the sport she loved all these years.
My favorite memory of Moolah was her appearance on the Mike Douglas Show many years ago. On said show, she took legendary football star Rosey Grier and flipped him over onto his back, to show that she could hold her own against any man alive. She even challenged Pat Patterson to a match way back when, only to be turned down. One tough lady, ask any of the women who felt her wrath in the squared circle.
The Fabulous Moolah will be missed by wrestling fans around the world.

I never thought I'd be deeply saddened by this, but I am. I know. This just came out of left feild. She was the pioneer of the womens division. Heck, I would call her a pioneer to wrestling perion. RIP Moolah. |

The last time we saw her was at Summerslam, we didn't see much of her. But enough about that.

i dont feel like reading any of this thread but anyone think this might help get some of the Moolah figures off the shelves? I know it sounds bad but Moolah was before my time and really what the WWE has done to her and Mae the past 10 years is an insult to them and their career

Man I remember her always saying that she was going to have a match when she was 100! Moolah was very tough and she was a true pioneer in women's wrestling. May she rest in peace.

I know it sounds bad but Moolah was before my time and really what the WWE has done to her and Mae the past 10 years is an insult to them and their career I doubt it, No one really knows who she is or has no use for her figure these days. |

She looked absolutely great at Summerslam.
Now she's gone...
I hope she rests in peace, just the way she deserves to. One of the best, if not THE best, woman's wrestlers in history.
