Regarding the McMahon "death" angle on Raw last night before news broke out on the sudden death of WWE star Chris Benoit, thus causing the show to be a tribute show, original plans called for the show to end with "federal investigators" arresting Vince's wife Linda McMahon on suspicion of murder.
However, it would later turn out that the incompetent "feds" were wrong. Not on last night's Raw, but on a future episode. The "feds" would then continue their investigation and the storyline would have continued for an indefinite amount of time.

And it would eventually lead to Mick Foley, and the two having a Match at Summerslam. Either that, or we would get a Rematch from Wrestlemania 17 between Vince and Shane, with the winner getting 100% control of the company.

Stupid. If there's one thing positive about the murders, it's the demise of that storyline.

Well, I was wondering who they were going to say did it. Why am I not surprised that they made the worst choice possible.

Thanks, I was truly curious about the plans for this angle.

interesting. I was enjoying the Vince storyline, but totally agree with WWE putting an end to it no matter what happened with Benoit. It's too bad there is no way to carry on with the storyline....other than having Vince say he faked his own death. However, i'm not sure WWE will want to have any storylines involving death anytime soon.

I was hoping Paul Burchill, so he can debut with his ripper "Murderer" gimmick. But not sure I want that anymore.

I hope we find out the rest of the intended "Vince being blown up" storyline, it was getting interesting it's a shame it had to end so abruptly. I was also really looking forward to seeing the Godfather who was scheduled to appear at last nights RAW, among others.

I was much happier thinking it could've been HBK.:/ But I'd have also been ok with Kane doing it. Credit whoever made these.

I still think they were gonna go with Cena on this one.
