Ok this really isnt about the Benoit situation but it directly affects it. What do you all think is gonna happen to the WWE and Pro wrestling world now?? Its been said that steriods were found by the body of Benoit. This is big seeing as how Vince and the WWE "cracked down" after Eddie Guerreros death. Its really gone beyond a point where a wrestler has lost his life too early. The main thing the feds are gonna look at and use is the fact that an innocent 7yo boy lost his life because of steroids. How do you think the federal gov't is gonna react and even punish WWE and Pro-wrestling??? Do you think TV stations will start dropping programs? Are sponsors going to leave wrestling?? Where does The McMahon family and WWE go from here? What about the fans?? Again sorry if this should be in the benoit thread but i wanna try to stray away from that and think of other things.

I was just thinking of this. WWE could very well be done.

No, I mean. WWE can't control Benoit. They have a drug policiy & we assume Benoit has been passing them..

They will not be done because of this. Just because Benoit is a murderer, doesn't mean they will shut down forever.

vince has the money to save the company, but theres other factors and costs for him now. he really does need to crackdown on the superstars. i mean honestly we all know masters is back on roids. shawn, HHH, Undertaker, and Kennedy are probably poppin pills to get big for their return. i really dont think the company will go ou of business, but we just have to wait and see if someone presses charges

nothing to do with WWE, it was his personal life We all know it shouldnt directly effect the wwe. But Wrestling has a bad rep in the public light. Now one of their employees is being accused of double murder-suicide....Not a good thing

In 1999 Owen Hart died, not only was it a situation with a current worker dying, but it was something CAUSED by a WWF stunt.
They certainly didn't go out of business then. They'll just put even more restrictions on their welness plan and life will go on and it'll eventually blow over.
RIP Nancy & Daniel Benoit

Most Pumped wrestlers are
You just dont get that huge without steroids
HBK aint on them but could start now to get bigger and heal quicker
HHH is a no brainer he was fun huge last time he returned

Benoit could have had a prescription for them, with his neck problem and all Indeed. With all the fused necks in WWE right now, they probably had to adjust their acceptable drug levels. Besides, there were no reports of any RECENT testing. Benoit could've passed months ago and not overdone it until now.

I think WWE will just get on with things and act like Benoit never really existed. It definitely isn't the end of anything.

The WWE is not in trouble and it's not the end for them, by a longshot. The majority of the roster is probably using steroids and it would affect the company a ton if the government stepped in, which it should. It won't destroy the WWE but it'll cost them to think twice about pushing for every employee to bulk up.
