For those wondering, I've just read that Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE will go on with regular programming tonight in San Antonio, with Smackdown & ECW tapings not based on either a tribute to Chris Benoit or continuing the Vince McMahon angle.
Take that for what you will.

Thats bull ****. He needs a ten bell salute. Well I take it as WWE knows something, so really, if that something is what I think it is, why would we honor a murderer? We're not just gonna honor him for his career, that a terrible excuse. Then again, I dont know what WWE is holding back or if they have anything. so maybe it's something else or maybe this report is untrue. |

It's NOT confirmed yet.. Hell, I was just watching one of the CNN Channels, they were interviewing one of the police officers, saying that they haven't ruled out a possible triple murder though.
So it's not yet confirmed if Benoit did killed his family. We have to wait and find out from the official reports.. Then you can go on and talk about not honoring Benoit because he's a murderer.

I can't blame WWE for not giving anymore tributes at the moment if the reports are true. And it does seem that WWE knows something. So I can't blame them. If something changes in what is being reported, I'm sure WWE will do the right thing. But for now I can't blame them for moving ahead.
I am however pleased that it's being said that the Mr. McMahon angle is being dropped. It really just needs to be gone at this point. Since the angle, we have lost Sherri and now Benoit. It's just time to end the fake death thing.

You can't pay tribute to a child killer. They did not know yet at RAW but now they know and the tributes should stop.

For all of you who lose respect in him for killing them, i hope you realize that he probably didn't kill them in a murderous way. They probably wound up in some sort of struggle where he accidently killed the kid, the wife flipped out and threatened to call the polive, and he may have killed her in an attempt to shut her up not knowing his own strength. Then after he probably couldn't deal with himself or the media condemning him, so he killed himself.
Even if that's not the story, but he did kill them, I'm positive he had not intended to kill them savagely. He was probably not in his right mind. Whether it be roid-rage or being drunk.

I remember reading in one of the reports the word "slain".... All I could think of when I went to bad last night was Benoit telling WWE his family was coughing up blood. Was that just some sick murderer talk or something? I don't know. All I know is, regardless if Benoit killed his family or not, I will continue respecting the man. He was the reason I became interested in pro-wrestling. He's one of the greatest of all time, and he will always be my favorite wrestler. - Vertan |

yeah seeing as the only time before is because of 9/11 which is undertsandable because that threatens the whole roster.
i say that they cancelled it because they didnt have enough time to decide wether or not the show must go on as scheduled. police only found out at 2 o clock, and i dont think wwe found out until 4. thats too little time to decide anything but to send them home. with eddie, they found out in the morning so they had time to do alot of stuff.
that and the wrestlers were in no condition to perform
