you guys are all ing idiots. you let 3 days. thats 72 hours, and two innocent lives take a nice big **** on his 22 year wrestling career. Action Bastard *lala08* said: "Although he was a great wrestler, it doesnt change his actions." um isnt being a great wrestler what you get inducted into the HOF for? Benoit WILL be inducted one day. WWE were on his nuts for 3 hours yesterday. they cant take back what they said. they can not show it anymore, but it still happened. years from now, Benoit will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. like it or not, its the truth. Look at Jimmy Snuka. he killed a hooker. murder. hes in the HOF. benoit killed one more person than snuka. honestly you guys need to use your common sense when you talk here. Um... How about this for a response Should we put Seung-Hui Cho into the Virgina Tech HOF if he had great grades? Exactly.

Snuka was never found guilty of murder. He certainly did not murder a child. He did not bring every news agency in the western hemisphere to bear on the company and all of the bad press that goes along with that sort of scrutiny.
This is living history, guys. Books are going to be written about this period of time in the industry and the negative attention that was attained because of it.
What Chris did may ultimately hurt the industry far, far more than he ever helped it.

I voted no, but who knows what could happen 10, even 5 years from now. I, honestly, doubt that it'll ever happen, though. The simple fact of him doing what he did this weekend has, pretty much, overshadowed anything and everything he did in the ring. Many of us, from here on out, are gonna see Benoit moreso as a murderer (even with the possible motive, NOTHING ever justifies taking the life of your own 7 year old child) than as a great wrestler.

Definately not.
A murderer does not deserve to be a part of the Hall Of Fame. No matter what.

Pull an Eddie and put him in the Hall Of Fame just because he died? No. He was a good wrestler and everything. But, sorry, I just don't think murderers should be in the Hall Of Fame.

The Hall of Fame is for WRESTLERS and their wrestling ability just because Chris Benoit did this doesn't mean he won't get in. He was the one of the greatest technical wrestlers WWE has had. I put him in the top 5. If the Baseball Hall of Fame is for BASEBALL PLAYERS and their BASEBALL PLAYING ABILITY, why is the all time hits leader not in it? Because he is a slimey bastard, who broke a rule, and has been punished for it. I don't think the WWE Hall of Fame is a legimiate enough institution to even have "rules," but I'm pretty sure they should keep murderers out. Someone said "it would be like WWE putting Ultimate Warrior in"... really? REALLY?.... REALLY?! Did I just read that? I know Ultimate Warrior is a stark raving lunatic. I know Ultimate Warrior is on TERRIBLE terms with McMahon, WWE, and most of the wrestling industry. I know Ultimate Warrior is an arrogant, obnoxious, unappreciative prick. I know that Ultimate Warrior is a bigot and a homophobe. I also know Ultimate Warrior was overrated in the ring, and was really nothing special in the WWE outside of his colorful character. However, to compare inducting him to inducting a man who murdered his wife and child... come. the. . on. Is Warrior THAT ing bad? I think not... He is a complete nutbag... but comparing him to a murderer is going a little too far...

you never know, Warrior could've killed someone we dont know about Yeah, I'll concede to the fact that he's a maniac... but I refuse to make this comparison. If Warrior doesn't make the Hall of Fame, its likely by his own choice. From what I've seen and heard from the guy, he seems happy with his wrestling-free life.

Its just the WWE HOF anyway, does it really matter?
Its the PWHF you should be asking about, the one that really means something. Though some of the responses I'm reading in this thread kind of take on a topic in itself. I'm already sick of hearing and seeing pretty much every topic and sig being Benoit related, especially those from the mentally handicapped.

I'm pushing towards no only because if you looked and Vince's face last night on ECW and the way he said, "No other mention of Chris Benoit will be made on this or any future show" kind of gives you the idea that at this point. And it's silly to ask this now after only 3 days, I mean there are plenty of deserving people to be inducted anyway, Sammartino, Morales, Stasiak, Ivan Koloff, the list goes on and on, so to ask if he will ever be in the WWEHOF, again at this point and with the way the media is covering it, I'd say no. It is a shame though, he was one of the greatest in ring performer's ever.

I'd so no I don't think he willget inducted into the wwe hof.
As a wrestler he does deserve to be in, it's just too bad his actions what he did, and would anyone really want to be inducting him.
Although a same sort of thing can be said about Curt Hennig, alot of people think he didn't deserve to be inducted because of the circumstances surronding his death, and many thought he wouldn't be for a while but he was.
Maybe they should induct the wrestler Chris Benoit and not the last Chris Benoit that was known.

The wwe must be ungreatful low-lives if they don't induct him. As far as I am aware, the HOF recognizes the best in the biz, not the best in what they did with their life. Benoit was one of the greatest ever, end of.

I can't believe some people are still defending this man. Look despite what he has done for the business in the past the man still killed his son and wife. Imagine if this happened to you and how you would feel, you wouldnt give a crapwhat the person gave to the business.
The fact is despite what was going through his head he killed his family and also his actions have also hurt the reputation of the business he loved aswell.
No one can take away what he has done but he does not deserve to be praised for it in the future.
