Shawn Michaels? I rest my case. Hulk Hogan? Sid Vicious? Diesel? Gene Snitsky? The Ultimate Warrior? The Undertaker? Kane? The Big Show? The list goes on. As for Michaels, there are always exceptions. What about Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Steve Austin, Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Bob Backland, Kurt Angle, Booker T, these are wrestlers who were at World Title Status and were not 300lb muscle men, we lost Eddie due to heart problems possibly from drug use earlier in his career and Owen due to stupidy by WWF, Michaels himself admitted he was on pain killers after his back surgery as well as all the partying he did early on. So if the Government should step in and Ban wrestling, I say ban Baseball and Barry Bonds, Football and any player, all we have on TV for sports would be Golf and Tennis.....and Basket Ball my bad, but I'm sure if we started with one they all would be banned........ What happened here was tragic, to kill his wife and himself, so be it, but to kill your child is psychotic act and I for one hope that more is found with this..... [glow=red,2,300] QUAGMIRE[/glow]

Steroids didn't have anything to do with this! Get educated before you blame something. People keep using the term "roid rage". Believe me, if Benoit had a Rage, that house would have been ripped apart. But the police even said everything was in order. Rages are erratic moods. They don't last for a whole weekend. They don't allow you to watch 3 hours of a ppv with your son before you smother him. And the idea of wrestling out of the US is ridiculous. Maybe we should get the internet out of the US too since people take advantage of it so much. Actually, roid rage typically isnt an outburst of a short moment but a behavioral development over time. Yes, it can lead to even more destructive outbursts, but it can also have effects of metal health deterioration and irritability that don't just go away. Its a misconception that they come from recently used steroids or that they are self-contained short incidents. As for the topic....no, wwe should not be shut down, but they need an outside sourse to drug test. I think the policy is not being enforced as it should be. Sure, some guys need to take some for injury and there are legal steroids. Even still, when guys like Rey Mysterio go from lucha builds to mini-Batista builds....something is up and it needs to be more enforced that the WWE won't tolerate it. IN the end, yeah, you'll probably get more guys built like William Regal than Randy Orton, but so what? They'll have a much longer career that way.

Is this a wrestling forum or an anti-wrestling forums ?? Seriously what kind of f***ing questions is that? You don't deserve to watch the show, so please just F off. Wrestling will live on regardless of tragedies like this, and regardless of people like you.

Why would or should the wwe be shut down because of the actions of 1 individual thus putting 100's of people out of jobs for a while.

I think the WWE better shape up or the government should get involved. I just care about the wellbeing of the performers and their families.

WWE getting shut down for any period of time would be the death of the pro-wrestling industry. Period.

This has to be the most obsurd question that I have ever seen on this forum. Seriously, if the government shuts down the WWE, then they should shut down the NFL and other sporting entities because they are just as messed up as this one is. Just a few days ago, there were hearings about how NFL players die too young and live in pain for the rest of their lives. I applaud guys like The Rock, who got outta this early enough so he can enjoy his life. While all of you say he sold out and talk bad on his name, he did the most smartest thing he could possibly do. So in answering your question, hell no should the gov't shut down the WWE. I can't imagine a life without it. Its like a part of my family because i've been following it for my entire life.
