The thing is you're going to be biased to whichever era you grew up watching as a kid. I'm not going to pretend that I have enough knowledge of wrestling to determine the "best" era without that bias. As a kid, I loved everything from about 1997-2000. Outside of the box, though, the Attitude era contributed a lot to what I consider to be the downfall of wrestling. The trash tv elements were hit or miss, and some of the storylines were just tasteless. I'm not trying to bash that era, because in other ways it was an awesome time to be a fan. We had the Kane/Undertaker feud which was done wonderfully, the charismatic uprising of The Rock, Stone Cold taking over with one of the most believable and best personalities in wrestling history, McMahon Family coming into the picture, DX and The Nation in the faction war, the competition with WCW, Triple H being established as a main eventer, and I could go on and on. All I am saying is that it's important to remember things, be it music or world events or movies or history, that happened before you were born...or in this scenario, before you were a fan.

80s and Early 90s are two different Eras, imo.
80s were more of the Hogan era, where as early-mid 90s would be Bret Hart, HBK, Undertaker, etc.
I'd say Attitude nonetheless.

Like everybody else is saying, childhood memories will be your favourite era.
Attitude era was mine...Since back then I thought it was REAL. Now tbh, I'm too old (also the internet turned me into a wannabe smart ass critic) to believe it's real.

Attitude. Not only my personal opinion, but it was the most succesfull era and turned guys like The Rock and Stone Cold into household names.

2001 to 2002 where the best times I started watching wrestling then and by 2002 wwe was definatley at its best. they had bought wCw, people were returning like nWo with hulk hogan and you had the rock, austin, triple H. Everyone was there!
and 2003 got even better with heel rock and so many great moments that ill never forget.

I have to go with the Attitude era thats when wrestling really got big but dont get me wrong i loved the old nwa days aswell. I couldnt believe you went with Attitude. Not that you don't have every right to do so, I simply was just going to say that your signature are two HUGE reasons why to me the 80's was the best! Today WWE, TNA, ECW whatever its all the same thing just packaged a bit differently. But anyone in TNA could come to WWE no big deal and vice versa. Back then NWA(WCW) was an entirely different animal than WWE. It just had a different feel. It was so pure and genuine while WWF was bright lights and big stars so you kind of could get the best of both worlds. Watching one made you thirst for the other. Or atleast thats how I felt. But TBS's saturday night wrestling was so awesome! TNAs show I think tried to capture some of it and does to a minor extent. I also say the 80's because the greatest of all time was in his prime back then. Also get a Survivor series DVD back then and just check out the tag team scene. Holy crap how pathetic the tag division has become... Both WWE and WCW had better tag divisions than all of pro wrestling today combined today.
