The Ticketmaster site is completely random. At a place like MSG, the first three rows in every section on the floor along with a lot of the other good seats won't even be made available for sale, they'll be held back for WWE's corporate partners and friends / family of the workers, along with ticket brokers.

TicketMaster is the ONLY way to get tickets for the Royal Rumble @ MSG. You have to be very quick with the refresh button (but not too quick -- almost cost me WrestleMania 22 tickets) and hope for the best. Once you lose TM as an option, only other way of getting tickets will be paying at least double through eBay or ticket brokers.

Ticketmaster screwed me a few times. Id say just call the box office of the arena/stadium (real people) and you should be good.

At a place like MSG, the first three rows in every section on the floor along with a lot of the other good seats won't even be made available for sale, they'll be held back for WWE's corporate partners and friends / family of the workers, along with ticket brokers. 99% of the time, ticket brokers have NO connection with promoters/arenas at all, especially on a larger scale like Madison Square Garden. They get tickets the same way everyone else does, they just have a LOT of people trying at once, thus increasing their chances. The ONLY connection they have is OCCASIONALLY they may stumble upon a person who DOES have inside connections, and they'll pay that person extra to get them premium seats. It's all luck of the draw. Your best bet, without question, is Ticketmaster. They're screwy sometimes, but at the end of the day, its the only way to get the tickets. Just be very quick, make sure you're logged in 15-20 minutes before the tickets go on sale, and you already have all the necessary credit card information entered into your account and saved. You want the entire process to take you no more than a minute to a minute and a half, just be prepared to type and click and speed read faster than you ever have before. The most nerve racking ticket experience I've ever had was Wrestlemania XX, I completed the entire buying process in under a minute, and wound up with dead center seats in the 200 level and had a great time. Sometimes you'll get really lucky. For example, I stumbled upon center loge, row 6 for Summerslam 2006.

Many former ticketmaster employees have come out and spoken about corruption within that company. All the big ticket brokers have connections within the company that hold back all the best seats for them, especially in large cities for popular events.

All the big ticket brokers have connections within the company that hold back all the best seats for them, especially in large cities for popular events. While I don't doubt that there are a few brokers here and there that have connections, but not nearly as large of a percentage as you're implying. I've worked for a ticket broker for nearly a year now, one that has been in business for 12 years and is one of the biggest in the state. We are networked with over 1,000 other brokers - including all of the major ones, in fact, my boss is very good friends with several of the owners of those large companies and none of them have any inside connections with Ticketmaster, nor have they ever, to my knowledge. In fact, many of them share their tickets with us and vice versa. Occasionally, I'll hear about a connection to a specific box office, unrelated to Ticketmaster, where the company can get first dibs on seats. (For example, we have connections with the Merrill Auditorium in Portland, Maine and the New Hampshire International Speedway), neither of those venues have any affiliation with Ticketmaster, however, and it is the owner's sole jurisdiction to provide those dibs. I have yet to encounter anyone who has the means of getting Ticketmaster to hold tickets for them - the closest thing I've seen would be big name brokers spending thousands of dollars to develop software that will allow them to to open hundreds of windows on Ticketmaster at a time and have them be controlled via bot, and even those are caught and dismantled by Ticketmaster nine times out of ten.

yeah! that same javascript error screwed me over getting tickets for no mercy! i had to go to stub hub and pay double the OG ticket price.
my advice, get friends to go on Ticketmaster at their house, and talk to them online or on the phone and see who gets the best seats.

Ticketbastard is the only way and it sucks that its that way. Ticketmaster screwed me for ONS 2. I had seats center section front row. But as i entered to pay, they said that there was an error. Had to settle for the 2nd tier but still it pissed me off.
Anyway, my strategy is to use my computer and my sisters laptop and have 2 going at the same time, while calling. Im gonna hope on at 9:45 and log in and everything, and do a test on some other event for ordering tickets for another event but not buying them. Then at 9:55 i will hit refresh every 2 seconds and eventually it will go.
Thats my strategy, but beware it dont always work
