Source - PWInsider
-- There is talking going around backstage WWE about making new sets for RAW and ECW to go along with the official High Definition launch at the end of the month. WWE ran their first broadcast using the upgraded HD production truck at this past Monday’s RAW. They are also ready to being broadcasting in 5.1 surround sound when needed. Until then they will continue to broadcast their audio in stereo.
-- WWE.com has added an interview with Tazz talking about whether or not he will return to the ring, what he thought of the original ECW, the differences between the revived ECW, and why a lot of the "ECW Originals" didn’t have long runs in WWE.

Whats with all of the PWInsider stuff on here. Anyways I would like to see a new entrance, especially the ECW one it is too boring. But i would also like to see Tazz back in the ring, but he most likely wont be returning to the ring.

The ECW set has grown on me, but the RAW set is bland as hell, imo.

Too bad. I really like the ECW stage, as well as the RAW one, too. I guess they were going to change them sooner or later, though.

So release a toy playset of the current RAW stage, and they get a new one in real life? Whatever.

And why can't SD! get a new one? They had it since Aug. 2001

I knew I noticed a difference in the picture quality of Raw on Monday. Hopefully the new Raw and ECW sets look great. I don't see why they're changing the ECW set (it's fine the way it is -- especially with the crew only having 15 minutes to set it up), but the Raw set, IMO, does need a revamp.
The Tazz article was a great read.

If any show needs a new set it's Smackdown! It's been around the longest.

If they're going to construct new sets, they sure as hell aren't going to begin considering it two weeks before they're needed. Just more internet speculation like we get anytime there's a special WWE show. Happened when Smackdown switched to Friday nights, when Raw moved back to USA, and when Raw's 15th Anniversary came along. Not saying that there won't be new sets, I'm just pointing out that we shouldn't get our hopes up.

PWInsider, The Torch, and The Observer all speak to people in WWE and others in the industry. That's why you shouldn't go to any other websites.

Lol nah, it debuted when Flair was the GM, I think all they may have changed were the logos and side crap. I thought they got a new one a while back, but it was for the snm taping, kinda liked that one...Imo smackdown is in the most need of a new set, come on a fist through glass? LAME.

Smackdown needs one badly, then RAW can, I mean comon its been nearly 7 years with that stupid washed up stage for Smackdown. This just shows you how much WWE doesnt care about Smackdown, lets see.
1) No new stage since 2001
2) No new theme song since 2004? I belive.
3) No main eventer like HBK, HHH, Jericho since around 2003.
4) No logo change ( Like Raw had one October? 2006)
5) Same old matches every week, and same title contenders ( Edge, Batista, Undertaker, Rey)
I'm getting fed up with this. And ECW change theres at the start of 07 I think, why a new one?

The logo also used to be shiny and metallic( w/ blue) now it's white and blue. I don't think any of the 3 shows need a change tbh. I like all 3, including the logos.

If they're going to change any set, make it the SmackDown! set.

Wtf? Why ECW? It looks good enough as it is, They do need a new RAW Stage though, I think when they change a Logo it should blend in with the Setup, Im sick of the current RAW Stage its been there for too long, and all they've really done in the past is slap a tower of Screens on the sides, nothing special. But Smackdown is LONG due for a new Setup, the Fist thing is stupid, I really think they need to revamp the Smackdown Image, its been the same since 2001
