i cant wait for the new sets, i dont even care if they look like crap, itll be nice to see a change.
And maybe itll bring the brands tighter, like how everyone thinks Raw is #1, followed by SD! at #2, and ECW in third. ECW's entrance makes them look 2nd rate compared to RAW and SD!, because Raw and SD! have these big sets and then ECW has this little box w/ lights and a logo

Maybe they should be focused on the WRESTLING part of the show and not this HD bull crap.

I've been wanting to see a new SD and RAW set for quite sometime. So this should be cool.

Sounds like shit. Why would they give every show the same set?

Smackdown's set was amazing. It was, but after 7-8 years, it gets old. I never liked any of the RAW sets. The first years from 1993-1997 then pretty much had the RAW logo, then in 1997-2002, they had the big tron and the 2002-2005 was decent, and the one they have now is a little better then the 2002 tron, but I still never liked RAW's stage.

OK, To clarify, as someone who has been in love with WWE's setups since getting into rasslin'... Technically, the screen itself is the "TitanTron". However, in the context it has been used: They are talking about the entire set, with the exclusion of the ramp. In this context, 'titantron' refers to the gorilla walkway, the titantronic screens, the steel girders and the USA pylons. The SmackDown! fist and glass is self-explanatory. The fact that all of the WWE wrestlers were brought together to record the new openings, means expect the new intros to consist of a short clip of the grappler standing in his typical trademark pose, followed by a clip of him. The wrestler's stance will be HD'ed. Example, Triple H will flash on the screen for a second, probably holding a hammer (and of course, in his own colours), he will spit water at the camera and the camera will do an extreme zoom into him, and will then display a few .5 second long clips of him in action. Repeat process for all major stars and go to a collage for the end of the opening. As for the shows themselves, expect the draft to whine away slowly. WWE seem to no longer want there to be too big a difference for each show. Ever since its debut, SmackDown! looked different. Having the same tron for each show is a hugely bad mistake, and will very likely prove to be a fatal move for the ECW brand. My condolences go to Elijah Burke, for the death of his WWE career. Expect to see something reminiscent of WrestleMania 24 or Saturday Nights Main Event. Huge props will be used for the grapplers, such as coming up from the floor, out through different parts of the stage, and moving parts for cars to enter the arena (D&D, JBL, Eddie, Austin etc.) Look forward to seeing a stage with a connecting ramp, which is Something WWE will make sure to have. Without it they miss a lot of big bump moments (Kane and Snitzky, Nash and Triple H, Orton and Foley etc.) which would hurt the shows. Something tells me the commentators will be placed on an elevated platform somewhere in the arena, but close to the ring. I imagine the ramp will be the same length or longer. Expect at least twice as many lights on the stage, and lights along the side of the ramp. Enormous graphics will be displayed behind the wrestlers (such as Kane's fire, triple H's head, Khali's tiger etc.) and similar effects spread across the stage. Do not expect to see screens showing different angles at the same time. maybe somewhere above or beside the main tron, but to incorporate such a thing onto the tron would be bad and make the whole project look sloppy. I imagine every major grappler will now have a personalised set. With videos spread the entire way across it, and a main one in the middle, a graphic at the gorilla position walk way, and to either side. Also expect Jakks to make this titantron in figure form the week before they change it to a new titantron. Well, those are my in-depth thoughts on the new stage. I personally still am not happy they are changing. I will miss the RAW tron and i wish it wasn't leaving. Definitely the greatest TitanTron in WWE history. When WWE are even referring to the tron as being 'iconic'.. why fix it if its not broken. The move towards HD, and introducing new sets just gives me another reason not to watch. I will not buy HD, and i don't fancy having it splashed all over my screen when im trying to enjoy a wrestling match. WWE are making things worse for themselves. I personally believe this whole tron change is a front, to let people think WWE couldnt be doing any better. In reality.. this is another step in the wrong direction. Vince is out of his mind to allow this. Whoever pitched this idea needs their jaw broke. Well.. regardless..

What a shame that Cablevision has a billion HD channels and USA Network isn't one of them.

I have a good feeling about WWE HD. All three shows sharing the same stage is goign to have a classic feel. And I know if they are all going to have the same stage, its probaly going to be badass.

TitanTron refers to the whole entrance stage. there WILL BE a big screen for the crowd, "live via satelite" interviews, backstage stuff, and so on. theres no way they cant have that. (Just to clear things up to the confused people) To the guy a few posts up "why fix it if its not broken." HHH broke it so they need a new one to a reply on the first page: how do you know RAW, ECW, and SD will have unique pieces to make it a little different? ---- anyways what i think, is if theyre all having the same stage, then WWE needs to take a bold step and end ECW once and for all. Tuesdays will be just like Fridays. When the Draft comes around, please just draft ECW to raw and smackdown and end it. straight up i just dont want them having one stage it takes away from the individuality of the shows. if they have separate, locked brands, they should have separate, locked sets. thats all i gotta see until i see the stage monday. damn i cant wait! i got HD friday for the sole reason of WWE. weve been planning on getting it for a while but never got around to it. but when i found out raws going HD this monday, i stopped everything and set up my appointment.

I have the idea that there's going to be a similar setup to the idea behind the Wrestlemania XX City part of the set, with some stuff borrowed from the WM23 Set- How the Trons would move around and stuff, while maintaining easy changing of graphics like in the WMXX Wall.

But goddamn I wish they'd broadcast it in HD in the UK

I can imagine it being a huge blue Screen, where the Wrestlers appear to enter in the same way they do on Smackdown 1 on the Playstation 1, with there videos in the background behind them.
