I was thinking before, when both HHH and HBK retire, who is going to be remembered as the biggest star. If we look at this from a title/accolade standpoint this is how it breaks down.
HBK: 4 Time World Champion 4 Time Tag Champion 3 Time IC Champion 1 Time European Champion 1st Grand Slam Winner 2 Time Royal Rumble Winner
HHH: 11 Time World Champion 1 Time Tag Champion 5 Time IC Champion 2 Time European Champion 2nd Grand Slam Winner 1 Time KOTR Winner 1 Time Royal Rumble Winner
And when it comes down to it, I have to say that HHH will be the guy remembered as the bigger star 20 years from now. I feel he is more synonymous with DX as he was in every incarnation of it. Also his desire to win more world titles as HBK doesn't want to win anymore. Also with HHH married to Stephanie and probably having a part in running the WWE in the future, people will simply view him in a more esteemed light.
What do you all think?

HBK is, was and will always be the bigger star. No matter how HHH books himself, he will never eclipse Shawn. Shawn or Flair.......interchangeable at who is the all time greatest. HHH isnt even in the top 10.

Triple H
Purely imo because the kids find it easier to say than Shawn Michaels. Thus more of a fan-base. But i would say Tripper was the bigger star anyway. Imagine if this was posed to a superstar in front of them both, they would be buried so fast by the one he didn't go for, you wouldn't know who he was in a month.

Hbk is definately the bigger star. I personally think HHH is much more entertaining in the ring.

HBK. No contest. He is the greatest of all time. End of(.)
P.S. You are also forgetting Shawn's eight match of the year awards in PWI.
PWI Match of the Year award in 1993 – vs. Marty Jannetty (Monday Night RAW, May 17, 1993) PWI Match of the Year award in 1994 – vs. Razor Ramon (WrestleMania X, March 20, 1994) PWI Match of the Year award in 1995 – vs. Diesel (WrestleMania XI, April 2, 1995) PWI Match of the Year award in 1996 – vs. Bret Hart (WrestleMania XII, March 31, 1996) PWI Match of the Year award in 2004 – vs. Chris Benoit and Triple H (WrestleMania XX, March 14, 2004 PWI Match of the Year in 2005 – vs. Kurt Angle (WrestleMania 21, April 3, 2005) PWI Match of the Year in 2006 – vs. Vince McMahon (WrestleMania 22, April 2, 2006) PWI Match of the Year in 2007- vs. John Cena (RAW, London England, April 23rd, 2007)
Re-read those last two. He dragged Mr.McMahon and John Cena to a MOTY each...

BUT i do say, in 20 years Triple H will be remembered over HBK, because HHH will still probably be in WWE doing backstage stuff, GM, road agent, HOF, etc.

Umaga did imo, cena was good but if it was Mark Henry it would be a shadow of what that match was.

is this list just Shawn's best match of the year, or all round match of the year? That was a list of the best match of the year, overall. You may notice 1997-2003 missing. These were years in which Shawn did not win. It is a testement to how good he is really; that he has won 8 times out of his last 12 years as an active solo competitor (not counting his four year hiatus or his days with Marty as the Rockers).
