- A lot of people in TNA, including Jeff Jarrett, wants to move TNA's iMPACT to Monday nights to compete with WWE's RAW. If Spike TV were to go with this idea, TNA would air iMPACT live every other Monday night, head-to-head with RAW. They would likely stick with the current taping format by holding tapings for the bi-weekly pre-taped shows on Tuesday nights.
Jeff Jarrett is said to be big on the idea of bringing back the buzz that was the Monday Night Wars and having TNA compete with RAW. While some are in support of this move, there are also a lot of people in the company who want to see iMPACT stay where it is at, for now.
- It looks like Umaga may be in line for another push on the RAW brand. WWE officials were especially impressed with Umaga's performance in the RAW Elimination Chamber at the No Way Out pay-per-view, as some felt he shined the whole match, and better than some of the other bigger names. Word is that The Samoan Bulldozer could be looking at another run with the WWE Intercontinental Title.
- Sources in WWE are reporting that Kane has sent word to a few people in the company that he is looking to retire from ring action in the next few years. Kane feels like he still has some gas left in the tank, but might want a run with WWE gold before hanging up the boots. One WWE source feels like this could be premature on Kane's part, and it could just be a way to get a push out of the WWE creative team. WWE officials see Kane as still having a lot to offer in helping get the younger stars over, which he enjoys, but some feel that the Kane character itself is pretty much dried up.

It's still way too soon for a Monday Night War. TNA needs to get their craptogether first.
Umaga did great in the chamber match and deserves another huge push. For a guy his size he busts his ass every time he's out there. He's hard working and is much better than the IC Title. He should he gunning for the WWE Title. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing him get a run with the title, his matches are always enjoyable.
I wouldn't care if Kane retired tomorrow. He hasn't had a good match in a very long time. He isn't good in the ring anymore, he's stale and he's lucky if he can even make it on PPV's.

First of all, it seems like EVERY PIECE of that news was ripped from peoples responses on message boards.
That Kane news has been there since the Undertaker was the American Bad Ass, and then also Wrestlemania 20 after his Undertaker match, it was rumored again.
The Umaga thing..I remember people saying 'Man, Umaga did good in that match, surprised me a lot" and he is in the upper cards anyway, so does it surprise anyone that these are just random shots in the wind people write up after reading message boards?

As much as I enjoy TNA, they seem so suicidal.

TNA can't beat Raw in the ratings on it's own. Raw's ratings triple what TNA pulls down. If they ran head to head, TNA's ratings would suffer badly.

TNA isn't going anywhere. Even if that "news" is true, the execs at Spike would have to OK the move, which they would never do. We've already discussed this to death over on the TNA board.

Good, cannot wait to see TNA crumble and then have Vince buy them and finally Samoa Joe & AJ will be in the big league!!!
Umaga deserves a world title run let alone a IC title run, where does this rank Dave then on SD, In with the US/IC guys?
I hope they give Kane one last run at the world title tbh, he deserves one.

Theres no one more deserving of a title run than Kane.
And WWE would just kill TNA on mondays.

Im pleased with the umaga news. He is a great superstar and a veyr active big guy, i hope WWE do big things with him.
As for the Kane news I hope its somewhat true and somewhat untrue. Rumours of him retiring have been regurgitated for years now, January 2007 was said to be it but hey he is still pumping it out. I think his in ring work athletically is fine just he needs proper storylines and titles. His MVP feud was brilliant, Kane vs large guys who botch all the time doesnt work. Kane is better feuding with the mid guys. Hopefully he does reclaim gold hopefully a world title. 10 years at his status you think he would have earned it. Also, "One WWE source feels like this could be premature on Kane's part, and it could just be a way to get a push out of the WWE creative team" makes me question the legitimacy of the news. Kane has never ever tried to hog the spotlight or run the show in this kind of way and it seems totally suprising for him to do this. He is 100% dedicated unlike this info suggests. That makes me question it.

Man, get Umaga out of the mid-card already. If he did so well in the Chamber match, why would you sink him back down to the I-C title?? He seems almost too good for that belt now. He's been there, done that. Why does he need to go back and do it all over again?? That makes NO sense at all.
If there's anyone who deserves another run as I-C champ, it's Santino. That's who I'd put the I-C belt on. Not Umaga.

I remember a while back, Kane was supposedly meant to Retire around January 2007. He states that he didn't want another run with the Gold when they offered it to him, as he said he'd rather make way for younger talent.
Instead, all he asked for in his last year was to team with the Undertaker again, and have an Inferno Match, which he got. But, he obviously continued wrestling.
It looks like he will also be left off the Wrestlemania Card at this rate, unless they stick him in the MITB Match.
As for Umaga, I think an IC Title Run would hurt him if anything. He needs a fued with Shawn Michaels. Santino would benefit a lot more from the Intercontinental Championship right now. After this Maria Playboy Issue, he will be left with nothing.

--TNA would effectively be put out to pasture if they opposed Raw on Monday nights. Sure, they've beaten Thursday night ECW shows but that's a long way from competing with the number one wrestling show in the world. Stick with the tapings or go live on a night WWE isn't on.
--Umaga getting a push is well deserved. The man has worked extremely hard and become a wrestler on the level no one could have ever predicted. He's an superbly talented superstar and a push would make him relevent again. As for a run with the Intercontinental Championship, I don't like it but it's better than nothing.
--As far as Kane goes, I'd like to see him get one more run, if only to be able to say that a guy whose busted his ass for the company for thirteen years (if you count Issac Yankem and fake Deisel) finally was repaid for his hard work. As far as the company believing Kane's character has dried up, last time I checked, there were creative writers on the payroll getting paid a nice amount of money to focus their efforts on a midget in a leprechaun suit. Refocus that energy somewhere else and we'd have a more compelling Kane.

TNA....Umm...they need to get their act together before they fight RAW. I like Umaga, and I can see him with a world title run, but not a long one. Just a couple months tops. As for Kane, I really like him, but he has really gone downhill since he went to SD. And he never has matches anymore that I see.

For everything that Kane is done, no one deserves a title reign more than him. Even if its a short one, give the man his due.

I would really hate Monday Night Wars. I watch both, and want to keep it that way. I don't want to switch back and forth.
