WWE realizes they're not threats at all so why not advertise them? It's to make them seem more like World Wrestling Entertainment, when they have everything on their site. It's not like they're having a "TNA rebound" on all their TV shows.

Quite the opposite...this is the very definition of sanity, because it's something new, different, and unexpected!

They've also mentioned ROH and CHIKARA as well, mentioning Bryan Danielson, Takeshi Morishima, The Briscoes, Chris Hero, Daizee Haze, Demolition and One Man Gang by name. Weird.

I think its great. It gives a sense of realism rather, pushing the fans into believing that they're the only promotion in America, or the world.

I'm going to sticky this for a day or two in the hopes that maybe--just maybe--people will stop making new threads about it.

I can't really make sense of it. The only thing I can think of is that WWE wants people who read dirt sheets to use their site and not any others. That way people would avoid things like spoilers and what not. I love how people think this is the doing of Michael Cole. As if Vince doesn't know about it....

WWE: We'll promote you, and still kick your ass.

You know, WWE tried to develop relations with ECW because they knew it wasn't a threat to them, even being one of the financial backers. Perhaps WWE is either trying to rile TNA into serious competition or is trying to extend the metaphorical 'olive branch'? I don't know but it wouldn't supprise me if they developed some kind of relationship somewhere along the line before Vince sqwashes them.

I like WWE.com's Destination X results. They doesn't preface every wrestler with a nickname, Rhino is Rhyno, and we get random links to The Rock's bio and the WWE World Tag Team Championship pages.
