Not sure where to post this, but this seems the most logical place. Basically, ive been assigned this graphics project, and ive decided to make a series of batman posters for the third movie. i thought the best villian to pick would be the riddler. anyway, do you guys have any ideas what i could do to create some posters. i just need some inspiration as to what to design. im not the best with photoshop, but have picked up a few tricks just messing with it. heres a quick start to the poster i made earlier. i725.photobucket.com/albums/ww256/mallett_1/riddlerposteronecopy.jpgobviously its just a start.

It would be cool if we could make sigs where you have say like a picture of Randy Orton, and your mouse goes over the sig and after couple secs, it plays his theme. I've seen this done before, I had a BWO sig with there theme playing on it.

Quick and easy tutorial I made a while back for people to use, works more with a female rather than a male. Wireframe C4D and Floral Brush link, credit to the creators for both. www.megaupload.com/?d=D9LSFIN4I don't use GIMP so I don't know how well it will work on there. Don't post this tutorial on other sites either please One thing I forgot to add into the tutorial was the Lighting Effects layer, change the blending mode to Lighten or for a better effect, create a new layer, duplicate it then hide the top one. On the original layer, give it a Lighting Effect - Spotlight, set it so that its going diagonally and not too strong, bring it down to the bottom right corner with about half the main focal lit up and the other half black. Show the duplicated layer, then go to the Lighting Effects and rotate the lighting oval thingy 180 degrees so its coming in from the top left, bring it down a bit to light the top of the focal up then change the blending mode to Lighten

I use PhotoFiltre and... Photobucket to make my sigs so the effects are limited, theres no layers and I cant change much once its done. Should I download Gimp? Is it easy to use? or Is there something else I could use instead? thanks

Is it easy to use? or Is there something else I could use instead? thanks As someone who's used Photoshop exclusively for the last 7 years or so, I always had issues wrapping my head around Gimp's interface, but functionality-wise, it has nearly all of the same features of Photoshop last I checked. It's free and is popular enough to be able to find tutorials for. My only other suggestion would be to go to a university that gives Adobe products away for free like my university does.
