Ok, at this point it seems that there isn't even a point in keeping it. Given how few people reply to posts in there (myself included), it serves no purpose other than to make the newer designers feel like second class citizens. Granted, the people in the Beginners thread should be replying as well as posting, especially since no one else is.
So, let me konw, keep the Beginner's thread or kill it?

Yes, but without any replies, they'll keep being beginners and therefore removing any point to have it up there beyond that.

Kill it. I'm sick of every post, some noob says "beginner thread". Even if it's somewhat decent. This board takes a week to get a post off the first page. So maybe it'll at least seem busier with more posts.

It isn't that they don't need help, it's that they don't follow the damn rules. All the beginners flood the board with 4 posts of new graphics; all the while pushing other work down. They reply with 1 or 2 sentence replies and don't give a rats ass about the graphic. It's just a matter of getting posts. You can kill it but enforce the rules of replying especially.

The B-Thread is a joke... It's pointless. People are supposed to be posting in order to help out the New designers but that isn't happening. It's purpose isn't being served. No one posts in the B-Thread and when something spews out onto the main board they get shoved back in with two word posts saying "Beginners Thread" ... No comments on the graphic. I say kill it... it ran it's course but it ultimately isn't helping anyone... more new designers graphics on the main page means more accessibility to the graphics which would hopefully lead to more indepth help replies...

Well, it's not like any of the good graphic-makers reply with a whole lot better, or at all. And the Beginner's thread people still reply with their one-line garbage in the main board anyway. So, the Beginner's thread is now dead. We hardly knew thee, nor did we care to.

keep it.. because i know that someday if the board gets overflooded with begginners its going to kill the graphics board.
just like the caws.ws pivot section.. it never had a beginningers thread and it was good for a while but then it got overflooded and the pro's stopped posting there.

To be perfectly honest, if that's the criterion for a dead Graphics board, then you're looking at one, because all of the designers of true merit stopped posting (or stopped posting actively) more than a year and a half ago.

It might push others work down, but then again no one is going to get better in the B thread if no one replies in it.

I don't see why he would need to... Umm why not? If they deserve feedback, don't you think their posts should be reopened? There is no point in going back and unlocking posts like a few months ago... if they wanted that stuff to get some comments then they can re post them... No need to go back and unlock all the posts...
