Zack & Wiki is presented as a third-person perspective adventure game, with the player controlling the actions of Zack through the Wii Remote. The player can point to objects on the screen, identified by a cursor, to have Zack investigate the item or move about the level. Monsters in the level can be transformed into usable items by having Zack shake Wiki like a bell. When the player has Zack interact with a usable item, the game shifts to a first-person view, and the player must mimic the operation of the item with the Wii Remote. For example, to cut down a tree with a saw, the player holds the Wii Remote horizontally and moves it back and forth. Successful actions are awarded points based on how many attempts it takes to perform the action correctly.
I plan on getting this game for Christmas because I've heard such great reviews on it. I know it looks kind of childish, but believe it or not, the majority of people who bought the game were sixteen and older. The game was released on October 23, 2007, by the way. Does anyone here own the game? If so, how is it and what is the gameplay like?

This game is NOT for the slow minded. It's a point and click puzzle game, and every level has a different solution as to how to beat it. At some points, the game gets freakishly difficult bordering on frustrating, but the solution is always hinted to you right at the very beginning.
The gameplay is all done with the Wii remote, you point the cursor where you want Zack to go, and click and he goes there, click on what you want him to touch or grab or whatever, shake the Wii remote to turn creatures into items like saws or bombs. It's a difficult, challenging, and long lasting puzzle adventure. It's not for dummies.

Thanks for the review.

It really shouldn't miss anyones Wii library. It's the single best 3rd party game available.

Easily one of my favorite games on the Wii. It's so much fun and extremely well made. The puzzle will have you in tears of frustration... well depending on who you are. It's a great game.

After a particular puzzle...well....let's just say I'm glad I got those Wii controller jackets.
