Probabally asked a million times, but I just got a PS3 (40gb) yesterday and started to set it up today. Now I went through the motions on how to set up the internet, but I need some help. I set up a wireless connection, but its a weak one and doesn't get me all the way to the internet. It will say "Page cannot be displayed". Now I'm just wondering if you guys got any tips or how I should update or change my connection so that it will work. If any of you guys have anything, please just share them. Thanks alot guys your help is much appreciated.

The simplest, easiest way is to move your PS3 closer to your router. Aside from that (and if you haven't done it by now, it's probably not possible with your layout, right?) I guess you could get a signal booster/range extender. I don't have experience using them, so I can't vouch for how well they work.

I think I may have solved the problem because I now have an ethernet cable. But that brings me to another question: Can you use the ethernet cable from a Xbox 360 for a PS3? Because my brother has a 360 but he doesn't use the internet. If so, the problem will be solved.

Ethernet cable is ethernet cable. It doesn't matter if it came from a Xbox 360.
