A Serbian Film is a lot like the Vomit Dolls movies, it's extreme and over the top just to be extreme and over the top.
If you took some of the scenes of extreme violence and sex out of the film no one would give two shits about it.
It lacks what a lot of the older exploitation films have, a thing called charm.
Avoid it.

So this year the two companies to keep an eye on are Arrow and Blue Underground. No one out there is putting as much effort in releasing high def. horror as they are.
I recently received Arrow's limited Battle Royale set in the mail and I am truly blown away by the care put into the package. 5 slim digibooks in one sturdy case, 3 discs, poster, postcards, comic, and booklets. I have yet to see the movie yet, but if it's as half as good as the set I'll be happy with it.
Arrow releases The Beyond next month and has a handful of italian horror movies lined up for the rest of the year, same with Blue Underground who will be releasing Zombie, Deep Red, Inferno and a bunch of other titles this year.

A few of their high def transfers have left a little more to be desired, but when you add the extras, the booklet, the poster and the 4 cover options, it's completely worth importing. Here's a look at their artwork for The Beyond.

Thought that I'd post the new(er) Scream 4 trailer again since the other one wasn't "official" and was taken down by the Weinstein Company.

Been loving old horror films lately for some reason. The Shining, The Omen, The Exorcist and Silence of the Lambs are all in my bluray player constantly.

Trick 'r Treat is is available instantly via Netflix. Will watch soon. If you've seen it, can I have a spoiler-free opinion? A great halloween film, and even greater horror film. Has 4 stories spread out in an hour and a half. Since it's on Netflix, you'll have it in HD, and the movie is pure eye-candy HD or not. Definitely check it out, it's a well made and really fun film.

What kind of horror is it? Slasher? Gore? I hope the stories are good or I wont like it.

Last night I watched 'Doghouse'. Its an English movie about 6 guys who head to a small town to get away from their wives/girlfriends and cheer up a buddy going through divorce. Once they get there they find that the entire town has been infected with a virus that turns all the females into zombies. However, they are more like The Evil Dead zombies in that they can use weapons, think, move fast etc. I really enjoyed it. Funny and gory. Way better than I expected.

Bumped back to the first page I'm looking forward to Scream 4. Watching the trailer brings back some good childhood memories watching the first three. I'm not sure if I saw the first Scream in theatres but I remember going to see 2 and 3 in theatres..so April 15th can't come soon enough.
