I just watched the new Nightmare on Elm Street and it's terrrrrrrrible. You had to watch it to figure that out? Didn't get to rent the Frozen Blu Ray because we didn't get any....I'm sad. Oh well. Going to the Hatchet 2 premiere on Tuesday....is it Tuesday yet? Can't wait to get off of work and straight into horror movie mode.

Yeah but I work at a video store that gets movies pre-street, however, we aren't getting Frozen on Blu Ray at all it looks. Disappointing. Looked like it had more special features. I liked the DVD special features, just wanted to see more.

Maybe you can convince them to buy at least 1 copy, even if its from Walmart or something.

They are a giant corporation with major distribution channels. Either we get it or we don't. To buy it at Wal Mart would be to support our direct competition, thus putting us out of business faster. The simple fact is the studio didn't give them a good enough deal on the Blu Rays so they passed. Possibly nationwide.

Watched [•REC] 2 last night. Not bad, but as soon as they starting involving religion and the devil, it got shit. I'm gunna go out on a limb here and say EVERY film involving the devil, straight up sucks. Hell, even The Exorcist isn't that great.

Usually if yours doesnt than mine doesnt for some reason. I have it at #1 on my BB online Q and if I swap a title today and return it by Monday than they will ship me Frozen on Tuesday. Didnt want to do that unless I knew Frozen wasnt coming in on Blu. Going up to BB in a bit to swap a movie. Will double check to see if my store is getting any. Noza, how didnt you like the religion part of REC2? I found it hilarious. Just all the random crap going on and how they managed to keep it horror while throwing in comedy. Was great. I usually dont like religion movies because I myself dont have many believes in god or anything like that but you cant deny the awesomeness of the original Exorcism(which is getting a Directors Cut release nationwide this Thurs.) I would also have to say that Constantine is BAD ASS!

I honestly don't know. I just like films to have a big element of realism in them. Obvisouly, most films are unrealistic, but I find stuff involding the devil to be a step too far. To be honest, scratch that. I'm not a religious guy, nor do I find religion interesting, so the films just don't appeal to me. The Exorcist was good, but that's as far as I'd extend. The Blu-Ray is out on the 11th, and is only £12 ($19) if I Pre-Order it online, so may just do that.

I've talked about this with a friend that is an atheist, he feels the same way, and I suppose I do too when I really think about it. I just attributed it to the fact that no movie really truly scares me, so ones about Satan are in the same category with everything else.
However, if you're a strong person of faith, and it's something you deeply believe to be true, then I suppose the scare factor multiplies because your core beliefs are being confirmed in the worst way possible. It is an interesting conundrum. Some scientist or psychologist should do an essay on that "Religious fear movies: Only for the religious?"

Jer should go buy it tbh Renting is for suckers. You know I think I might. Im trying to limit my spending since I plan on going to a WWE event at the end of Oct. plus I want to get the new SVR game. On top of my usual bills. But if Frozen is 15 bucks on Blu-Ray on Wal Marts site than I think I cant warrant a blind buy. Sean, Noza I get where you guys are coming from via the religion discussion. I can image how it must scare people who are big believers. None of that stuff usually scares me. What gets me is ghost films or things involving other supernatural things not necessarily in a god like way. Like The Orphanage scared the crap out of me when I was watching that. Or The Amittyville Horror was another one that got me the first time around.

Had an amazing day! My wife, kids and I decorated our yard for Halloween. Our neighbor put up a skeleton yesterday, which earned her 10 coolness points from my kids, so suddenly our scarecrows just seemed lame. I was just going to put out our 6 foot inflatable Jack-o-lantern, but once the kids came outside, the graveyard on the front lawn soon followed as did 90% of my other decorations. I've decided this is the year to hang my orange Halloween lights on the roof like X-Mas lights, for all the neighbors to see. Just have to borrow my Dad's ladder tomorrow and hope I don't fall! Here is my horror film collection, that I plan on watching between now and Halloween night not sure which order though. The Monster Squad (not a horror really but does feature some of the universal movie monsters) I don't know about that one. I'd say it is horror, but more of a throw back to the older style movies. Either way, I couldn't picture my childhood without that movie.

I can't believe it but this is already up for download. Frozen is a good movie for what it is. Im pretty pumped for Monsters. Comes out in a theater near me at the same time it comes out on demand. Wondering if its worth the gas money to drive plus a 9 dollar ticket and 5 dollars for parking. OR I can just rent it in HD on demand for 6 bucks. Let me know what you think of it.
