My favorite Stephen King Book to movie is either Dreamcatcher, or Salems Lot.
However, I love all of his crossover films like Rose Red, Storm of the Century, The Mist, The Shining, IT, Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

Need some recommendations. A few creepy, disturbing, eerie movies. A few all-out gorefest movies. And some creepy music.
Thanks.

Good point.
I'm actually about to throw a horror movie on and I have no idea which one to watch. I've got about 10 on my DVR right now and a ton of DVD's I haven't watched in ages. I wish my VCR wasn't in storage, I feel like watching The Exorcist but only have it on VHS.

I'm really anxious for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. It's hard imagining anyone other than Robert Englund playing the role. But Jackie Haley has the look. I think they need to do somewhat of a reimagining and just make it REALLY dark and scary. Either way, I'm excited.

I'm hearing mixed reviews about the script. Some say Freddy is mean and nasty and great...while the characters around him...not so much. That was what made the original Nightmare so effective. Though character development in horror films isn't usually a necessity, Nightmare had it. The characters all felt real. That said, I'm still open minded to the film and I'm going to go ahead and say that I'm looking forward to it to see how well Haley does and for that reason only. I'm very open to remakes, but it's going to be hard to accept someone else as Freddy.
