The hair metal stuff was like... really homoerotic and horrible, but there was plenty of talent that came out of the 80s. Like: FTW.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKSAAAANNNNN! you dont have to put on the red light......... ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKSANNN
Funny how people rip the hair metal for being horribly dressed and gay. Yet we had huge groups like WHAM, and Prince doing the same crap.
I love Prince and WHAM for the record.
Madonna too

I Loved Phil Collins & Genesis, and I liked Rick Astley. I also liked some of the hair bands; like Def Leppard, Bon Jovi. But Im more into the 70's.

Can't argue about Prince. That man has talent that only God can give a person.

Journey and Styx are the two greatest american rock bands, with Bon Jovi a close third.

Some good stuff up there, so I'm going to focus on things I haven't seen mentioned.
Peter Gabriel was just Godly... I'm not even kidding, I listen to him all the time even now. His music was breathtaking.
Ah Ha was very underrated. and Take on Me is still one of the best videos ever.
Dire Straits was also awesome.
The Goth scene was great back then... Not like the stupid Mall Goths of today, thoguh there are still some good goth bands, people just don't know of them. Bands like Bauhaus, The Cure, Love and Rockets, Joy Division, New Order, XTC... Not all were technically part of the movement, but still
And let us not forget Queen and Bruce Springsteen. Both got there stats in the 70s... But they were huge in the 80s. and for good reason. They're two of the greatest acts in the history of music.
I say this often on here... But man I miss the 80s... Though I do wish I had just been a couple of years older and gotten the full experience... Luckily I can relive all of it.
